Problem with network adapters,canot connect to router

I even plug direct to router and a message come up
windows tried to repair but a problem still exists with one or more network adapters on this computer, what should i do?

    there should be only one network card or buildin network connection. unless the machine is a server, even with that, dual network card is very difficult to configure.

    if you have 2 network card, try to remove one.

I have a toshiba A305-S6905 notebook with an A/G/N wireless adapter, but won't connect to an 802.11n network


Check the information that came with the router or access point to find out what connection mode the device is set to. The mode should be either ad hoc (when devices communicate directly without going through a router or access point) or infrastructure (when devices communicate by going through a router or access point). Make sure the setting in Windows for this network matches the setting on the device. To check this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_47.png, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Command Prompt.

  2. Type netsh wlan add filter networktype=network type.

    Where network type is either adhoc or infrastructure.

  3. The router or access point is busy.
  4. The network you are looking for is set to not broadcast its network name (SSID).
  5. Your network administrator is blocking access to certain networks.

The following steps will help determine if the wireless card in the system is functioning properly.
IMPORTANT:
Please go through all the troubleshooting steps. If the wireless card is functioning properly, please check the network configuration. Acer America can not assist with configuring the network.
Before you start:
  • Make sure there is a wireless router or wireless access point.
  • The wireless router/access point is plugged in.
  • Refer to the owners manual to ensure the wireless adapter is on (you can turn the wireless card on and off by pressing a clear button)
  • Contact the internet service provider to make sure ther account is active and the network is connected in a way that supports their configuration.
If the computer was working properly at an earlier time:
If the laptop was working fine, do a System Restore which rolls the system back to the last known working configuration. System Restore is located in System Tools under Accessories. Here is a link to explain the use of this feature:

To find the wireless network:

My laptop is conecting but says limited or no connectivity but I have a strong wifi signal


Hi there,
Did a bit of research for you on this and came across a ten step set of instructions which should hopefully correct, or at least narrow down your problem:
Determine whether your network access is functioning properly (that you can reach local network resources and the Internet). If you are using a broadband Internet and Windows XP Service Pack 2, this message is often a false error report. See Microsoft Knowledge Base article 892896 for details on how to work around this error appropriately.
If your network access is non-functional. continue to the following steps.
If your computer connects to the network through a broadband router , resetting (powering off and on) the router may resolve the issue. If not using a broadband router, or if resetting your router only temporarily resolves the issue and the error message re-appears later, continue to the following steps.
If connecting to your network using Wi-Fi and using wireless security, your WEP or other security key may not be set properly. Check the wireless security configuration on your computer's network adapter and update if it necessary.
If connecting to your network using an Ethernet cable, your cable may have failed. Temporarily replace your network cable with a new one to determine whether this resolves the issue.
If using a broadband router and DHCP on your network, check your computer's IP address to verify it is valid and not a private address that starts with 169.254. An invalid address of the form 169.254.x.x signifies your computer's inability to obtain a usable IP address from your router.
To resolve DHCP configuration problems, proceed to the following steps.
Reboot your computer, router (if present) and broadband modem together, then re-test your connection.
If your connection remains non-functional, run the Windows Network Repair utility on your computer.
If your connection remains non-functional, update your router settings to change from dynamic to static IP address configuration, and set an IP address on the computer appropriately.
If your connection remains non-functional, unplug your router and connect the computer directly to your broadband modem. If this configuration is functional, contact the manufacturer of your router for additional support.
If your computer is connecting to your network directly through a broadband modem, or if your Internet access remains non-functional after following the instructions above, contact your Internet provider for support.

Can not connect to my wireless router


1. Choose your wireless equipment The first step is to make sure that you have the equipment you need. As you're looking for products in stores or on the Internet, you might notice that you can choose equipment that supports three different wireless networking technologies: 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g. We recommend 802.11g, because it offers excellent performance and is compatible with almost everything.

A wireless router
The router converts the signals coming across your Internet connection into a wireless broadcast, sort of like a cordless phone base station. Be sure to get a wireless router, and not a wireless access point.
A wireless network adapter
Network adapters wirelessly connect your computer to your wireless router. If you have a newer computer you may already have wireless capabilities built in. If this is the case, then you will not need a wireless network adapter. If you need to purchase an adapter for a desktop computer, buy a USB wireless network adapter. If you have a laptop, buy a PC card-based network adapter. Make sure that you have one adapter for every computer on your network.
Note: To make setup easy, choose a network adapter made by the same vendor that made your wireless router. For example, if you find a good price on a Linksys router, choose a Linksys network adapter to go with it. To make shopping even easier, buy a bundle, such as those available from D-Link, Netgear, Linksys, Microsoft, and Buffalo. If you have a desktop computer, make sure that you have an available USB port to plug the wireless network adapter into. If you don't have any open USB ports, buy a hub to add additional ports.

Network Driver Issue/Internet Connection issue


you can try a couple of things, on the back of the router is a small reset button, you will need a pen or pencil to push this button, hold it in for 10 sec. or so, until the router resets, and try to connect then, or unplug router, leave off for 10-15 sec. plug back in and wait fir it to reset this way, or a more involved way is to go to your DOS or command prompt window, type in this as follows

ipconfig /release

(wait a few seconds for this to do its thing)

ipconfig /renew
(if this doesnt work ask your parents if they put a block on the router)

Hi there.

This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings, but before you perform this remove power from the modem and router for 2 minutes reconnect power and wait another 2 minutes for them to settle down.

What i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless adapter and "uninstall" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.

How do i have a usb port run a high speed device


The USB port in your computer is not the new high-speed USB 2.0 version, and when you plug a USB 2.0 device in you will get that message. Most USB devices will still work but not give best performance. Just close the message window.

The network cable unplugged message can be disabled through the network settings. Normally Windows is set to display that message when there is no network cable connected. You can just ignore the message.
