I had some luck removing food and other stains with the new Vielda Glass Ceramic Scrung (its a sponge)
"Special scour sponge for cleaning glass ceramic cook tops without scratching. Eliminates burnt-in stains and greasy dirt film. Removes grease and loose dirt particles. Microfibre side will create a streak free finish."
I found mine at Walmart. It was a little pricey but if you just use the sponge for the stovetop then it will last a very long time.

Your gas cooker will either have a pilot light (flame) that stays lit all the time, or an electronic spark that continues to function until a sensor tells it that the burner has lit.
In either case, if you spilled soup on it, the function has been compromised.
I would suggest that you turn off power and gas to the stove, and then thoroughly clean it. Then turn the power and gas back on and try to start it.
If it works, Happy Happy.
If it does not work, since both gas and electricity can be dangerous, I would suggest that you enlist the aid of a qualified service person.
The costs will be small compared to hurting yourself.
Ruksana, This could be dangerous. Call an appliance repair Tech, look in local phone book/yellow pages.

If the other burners are working and you hear gas and the sparking working, the burner may be clogged.
This happened to me when some soup boiled over one time.
Try lighting it manually. i.e. Hold a lighter, preferably one with long stem, while slowly turning on the burner. If the burner is clogged, you may need to hold the lighter in different places. If this succeeds, let it burn for a couple minutes and this may clear the burner.
If it still doesn't work you will need to clean the burner. Most of the time the front and back burners share a sparker.
Good luck and let us know how if this has sparked a solution.
