Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1 Answer

Sansa Clip MP3 cannot see but can play songs that are there

Originally posted by bobk222 on Dec 15, 2008
My Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 player has 130 songs on it and I wanted to transfer them to another player. I went to open it with Windows explorer and it showed an empty folder visibly. The folders properties showed the proper usage but the folder looked empty. When I added another song, it only showed that song. I only upload the song to the one music folder that was originally there. The player still plays all the songs but does not show the older ones.

Please help "The following response I did not understand"

"Switch the player from USB to either Auto or MTP mode. Or, you can transfer ALL songs in the manner you have just described. Either way." Comment posted on Dec 16, 2008 I do appreciate the response but!!!

1. I do not know what auto or mtp mode are and how to change them
2. I would gladly transfer all of them but when I open the folder using Windows explorer I see nothing but the one song I just added. The folder contains 130 and plays perfectly. I just can't see them to transfer them.

I have the same problem...almost... I only see one of the folders (one album). The rest of the albums and songs are visible and playable on my Sansa clip but are not displayed in windows (explorer).

Changing the USB mode does not help (I tried all three options).

I have the same problem: there are hundred of mp3 but they aren't shown on windows explorer (vista). They can be played but not modified or cancelled

My sandisk sansa clip mp3 player does not play songs/no sound.

I later found out that while trying to download more songs, the entire songs in my sandisk mp3 was corrupted by a virus. I solved the problem by formatting the device and thereafter downloaded new songs into it. As soon as I did that, the songs started playing normally at full volume.

Sansa Clip 2gb only plays parts of songs

The songs you have loaded have a restrictive license on them that only allows full playback on a computer, not on an mp3 player. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.
