Question about Sony VPL CS6 Multimedia Projector
Ok, so we live in Zimbabwe where power outages are a daily occurance. We have a sony VPL-CS6, and after we get our power back the projector light takes forever to come on. And we can only switch it on when the light comes on. So we have to wait and wait. Sometimes longer than other's. The one time it took several hours to come on. We've cleaned the air filter and fans. Not sure why it taking so long. Do we need a voltage regulator?

reset the settings to factory default and change your cable. if that doesn't help, the polarizer filter on the blue lcd panel is fried due to excessive dust and heat. the optical engine will need to be replaced.

I tried the emergency mode and recovered the powered mode. just make sure you can turn the adjuster ( that big grey plastic screw) freely and leave it that way (don't tighten it or put the **** back in). try turning it on. works for me..
