Question about Canon imageRUNNER 105 Copier

Stalls in wait mode

When turnng on machine even after unplugging the machine stops on wait screen with about a third of a line on the progress bar. Is there a reset solution. (canon IR105)

    problem turned out to be that the glass was out of position ? Thank you for taking the time to help.

    IR105 progress bar goes all the way to the end and stalls..swapped out HDD and main control board..reseated bootroom and memory..what I am my missing ?

This is usually only 2 things if it never comes to ready it could be the hard drive memoryboards bad or missing or DC controller

Error 350 - how do I fix this?


error 350 means a disconnection, from your machine to that of the remote fax machine. Disconnection can either come from a power shortage, defective or not so good telephone lines, a call-waiting mode on the telephone, a defective fax machine or manual interruption.

However under rare conditions incompatibility between the two machines may cause the remote machine to simply get this code.
Try these steps...

1. Press setup, and then go to TOOLS.
2. Press okay on TOOLS, then look for RUN FAX TEST. Then press okay.
3. It will print a fax test page. Check if everything passed.
4. If it passed everything, try to press setup again, and then go to ADVANCE FAX SETUP.
5. Scroll, down and look for ECM (Error correction mode), then press okay
6. Under ECM you will have to options "ON or OFF" try to choose OFF then press OKAY.
7. Now, try sending a fax.



Also you can try to reset the printer.
1. Take out the cartridges from the unit .
2. Make sure the unit is connected to the wall jack directly without any surge protector.
3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit ( without turning off the unit ) .
4. Now press the # and 6 key together , while holding these keys down plug in the power cord back into the unit .
5. Do not release the keys after a few seconds you will find the hp logo or bars moving across the screen .wait while the unit turns off.
6. After one minute turn on the printer . It will go into alignment phase > let it finish .
7. After its done > try to make a copy .
Note - you can also try the OK and CANCEL key combination in place of # and 6

My mother has a brothers multipurpose and when phone line is connected, you can hear dial tone even with handset hungup


The Brother faxes have a button that you can press to allow you to dial without picking up the phone. Look for a button labeled "Hook." Pressing it should hang up the machine.
If the Hook button doesn't make a difference, unplug the phone line from the machine, partly to make sure it's your fax that you hear, and partly because if you leave it connected and "off hook" the phone company will disconnect you from their network.
Three things that might help if the Hook button doesn't help are:
1. Unplug the power and plug it back in after about 5 seconds.
2. Clear the memory. You need to enter Maintenance Mode for this. You didn't give us a model number, but newer machines use this routine:
Menu
Black Start
Up-arrow
Up-arrow
Up-arrow
Up-arrow

Do the above quickly, ignoring any error beeps. If you're successful, all the lights will flash in unison, and the display will read, "MAINTENANCE." If not, touch the Stop key and try it again.
Enter the number 91: just touch 9, then 1, and wait while the machine clears it's memory. It will not clear your name and phone numbers from memory.
Enter 99 to exit Maintenance Mode, and wait while it goes through it's complete startup.

Plug the phone line in again and see if that dial tone is still there. If so, unplug the phone line again and try exactly the same routine, except that instead of entering 91, enter 01. That will clear all of your memory, as if the machine is fresh out of the box.

3. If clearing the memory doesn't help, you have a bad main board in the fax. If it's under warranty (1 year in the US), Brother will cover all parts & labor. If not, it may not be worth the cost to fix it.

Our xerox workcentre 4150 is stuck in a self test mode. We have turned off the machine and unplugged it several times, and it keeps going back to the message Please wait....Machine self test in progress....


You will either have to take off the back cover and remove the memory battery. One of those round lithium batteries and reinstall it or go to xerox.com, download the newest level of firmware and load it to the machine.
You may also want to try turning the machine off. unplugging the hard drive and see if it works like that.If it works without the hard drive replace it. If all those steps do not work replace the main board.

I have an HP CM1312Nfi that when I power it on it will display the progress bar and will have the warning light flashing. The progress bar will almost finish and it reboot and restart the progress bar. No...


Hello Luis !

This problem is isually related to a hardware failure, commonly on the formatter (MainBoard), but there are a few steps you can do to recover it:

1) Make sure the printer is connected straight to the wall

2) Try doing an NvRam or Hardreset on the printer, for the 1312nfi just follow this steps:

a. Turn off the product.
b. Press and hold the Right arrow and Cancel buttons simultaneously.
c. Turn on the printer.
d. When you see the message Permanent storage init, release the Right arrow and Cancel buttons.
e. After a few minutes the printer should go back to the "ready mode"

3) If the printer goes back to ready, i would recommend you to download the latest Firware Update for the 1312nfi, you can download it from this link, just select you operation system from the list:

Now, if the printer is not comming back to ready just turn the printer off, and with the printer off run this firmware update on your computer and finally turn the printer back on.

If after all of this you cannot get the printer to work, that means the formatter board is defective and need to be replaced
Since this is a new hp model it may be still under warranty so you call HP Tech support 1 800 334 51 44 (US)

H.P.Photosmart installer stops at 94% complete. Why?

Error 116-365 on dc 3535


That is a hard drive error.
There is a job stuck on it.
Hold 4 + stop + powersave as you turn on the machine.
That will cause the Hard drive to initialize and should clear the job.
I have seen that caused by someone doing an internet print job.
You may want to unplug the printer cable and see if an incoming job is corrupting the network. I have even seen networks be hacked and the machines affected.
If that doesn't reset it. Check the connections to the hard drive.
When you do the hard drive initialization. Hold the 4 , the stop, and power save as you power it on , hold the buttons until you see the progress bar appears on the screen, then release the keys.

HP 2710 Hit by Power Surge


Please perform the following steps.

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.


Please do perform the following steps also:


1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.

2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.
