I have a Rangemaster Leisure 110 the left hand oven lights up, but the flame is very low and will not go to maximum.

common problem, there is a device in the oven called a solenoid/ff device these are safety devices and fail after a few years. replacements can be obtained from main stockist Gas On spares on 0121-585-7799

Rangemaster 110 oven heats by itself

That happens either because the timer control is faulty, or because there is a contact on the element wires or connectors, and the element is grounded.

Control board and wiring harness are tested using a multimeter.

Will the flame go out if you turn the control knob to the off position?

Sometimes gas cooking control knobs have two seperate types of control in the one knob. One control turn the gas on or off, one adjusts the variable quantity of gas allowed through a gap to your flame jets. Some control knobs can get gummed up and stick a little. The can be fixed by carefully taking apart the control knob, taking note of EXACTLY how everything goes back together and cleaning any gummed up bits. Then reassemble the knob and drizzle soapy water over the control to test for leaks. A leaky gas join blows bubbles and makes noise. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

Left hand oven

The left hand oven needs a new flame failure device fitted , it is a normal oven not for slow cooking . This repair can only be carried out safely by a registered Gas Safe engineer . Visit WWW.gasSafeRegister.co.uk or ring freephone 0800 408 5500 to find one in your area.
