SOURCE: the paper feeder of my canon super g3 jams every time

Yes, there is an easy solution, possibly. Mainly because you say it may do a single job, and then it keeps jamming. Do you see the second sheet jamming in when it is not called for? Anyhow, you may try cleaning the rollers, all of them, like I did here: This completely solved my problem of persistent paper jams.

SOURCE: Film & slide converter will not copy fotos.

Verify that you have good connections at both ends of USB cable. Verify that you have the camera powered on. Verify that you have media card or whatever in the camera that you are trying to read. If that doesn't work typically there should be a trouble shooting section in the manual. Windows should be detecting the unit. After it's connected look in "my computer" and see if you see the device / detachable storage listed among available drives and try navigating manually to your media.

Slide scanned has lines, color is off, and looks warped. What is wrong?

If this is an elderly device there's a high likelihood that theres a hardware fault in the unit, did it ever scan properly? If it did and now malfunctions I'd look at connectivity issues so try this unit on another computer and try another USB cable, and with other USB ports.

I bought the Canon Canoscan N1240u flatbed scanner. I downloaded the drivers and plugged in the cord that came with it but it doesn't do anything.

Just to be sure, did you install the driver in addition to downloading it? Full software or basic driver. The software must be installed before connecting the data cable. What OS are you using? (if you have Vista 64-bit, it is not compatible) If you didn't install the software, uninstall the OS driver and disconnect the data cable before attempting to install the Canon software. Otherwise see the notes for scanning with other software.

First are you trying to use the scanner buttons? These will only work if the full software is installed. For the buttons to work, you have to set up the scanner button destinations in the Canon software first. Also a monitoring program must be running for the button presses to work.

So try scanning from the computer first. If you still get an error, try a new data cable. If you are using a USB hub, try a direct connection. Make sure your USB ports work with a known working device. You can also check if the ports are disabled for security (in the Device Manager for Windows) or power savings (an advanced setting from the Screen Saver).

Once you have scanned successfully from the computer, go to the Settings section of the Toolbox to set the default destinations for the scan buttons.

If you only installed the basic driver, you can scan with Paint (XP or Vista), File > Import from Camera or Scanner > New Scan. Vista also has Windows Fax and Scan (New Scan) and Photo Gallery to acquire scans. I don't know the Mac software. Third-party software will also work if installed.

I hope this helps.

Can any one help to find product that uses validated keypad code entry that could "unlock" the device and take copies and lock Once that is done, for canon 3300 copiers.

The Canon 9080C is purely an input device and cannot 'take' copies, however it can scan any A3/A4 document which can be printed or emailed. By printing you get the copy. Technically it is possible to control the software/Computer through Software password.

I am trying to scan a doc on my canon MP272 and just get the numbers : 1, then E then 3. What's that mean?

According to the manual, the error code E, 3, 1 (cycles) means that the printer is not connected to a computer with a USB cable. If you have a cable connected, remove and reseat it, or try a different USB port on the computer.

If you're trying to scan, you need to be able to send the scanned image to a computer. If you're trying to copy, press the Black button for black/white copies or the Color button for color copies.

Auto detection can not be set as default

A 'Driver' is only the software portion to connect two hardwares. You need to install a printer driver for Printer, or a DVD driver for a DVD drive. Similarly, the scanner driver just connects the scanner to the computer.
You need to use a Scanning software to use the scanner. Canon offers CapturePerfect 3, using which you scan documents, do rotation, convert to PDF etc. CP3 has option to detect the page size. CP2 is available free of cost from Canon sites. CP3 comes with the scanner.

How do i use the scanner on my canon pixma mp240?

Before scanning originals, confirm the following.
bullet_s.gif Are the necessary software applications (MP Drivers and MP Navigator EX) installed?
If the software applications are not installed, refer to the printed manual: Getting Started.
bullet_s.gif Does the original to be scanned meet the requirements for an original to be set on the Platen Glass?
bullet_s.gif Is the machine connected to a computer correctly?
Confirm that the connection between the machine and the computer is physically secure.

the actual scanning should be as simple as turning your device on, putting the image to scan on the platten glass and then press the scan botton then save the image scan in your computer or memory card.

more instructions can be found on the manual which you can download and installed from here

Installed driver twice for Canon DR-2050c. Still

Pls run checkdisc/scandisk on your Comp. Your OS may be corrupted. Just to verify try scanning by connecting to a formatted newly loaded OS Computer.

Canon DR-3080 CII Scanner

I recieved this error when trying to scan pages in using our new Kofax scanning solution with a DR-3080CII. I discovered that the latest canon driver for that scanner was not compatible with the software and it made the application hang in the background. I found an older driver that was compatible and installed it, no more error.

Scanning monochrome negatives on Coolscan 5000ED

Your killing yourself how big are you going to print this!!! Are you using Vuescan or silverfast for scanning or Nikons util? Stay away from Nikons utility! 2x sample is plenty and turn off ICE for monochrome (it makes a mess of things) but 16 bit yes until you print then go down to 8 after you resize for final print.
