Right click on my computer and then select properties. Then select Device Manager. Locate the Optical Drive and then right click it and delete it. Reboot the computer and then it will reinstall the driver when the computer boots. Should take care of it.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Unfortunately these devices will fail.
A new one will cost in the $20-30 range and is easy to install.
Good luck!

Dell server

1) it may just be a driver issue. look up the control panel / devices. if you see a yellow marker , then the drive is at fault . find the driver and install, then try again.

2) maybe the cdrom is dead , try change to another one.

3) if you dont have spare , plug in an external usb cdrom drive . this way , you can still do the update. many dell laptops use external usb cdrom.

Cd/dvd drive not working

You need to update the drivers for the drive because its external what the installation of XP did was to except it as the drive to install but what it did not do was to install also on your hard drive the external CDrom. You need to do it manually....go here: http://drivers.myfreewares.com/driverdownload.php
