Hi icsanders47...
This what you do to turn your GoGear vibe on...
Put it in your left hand and as you are looking at the screen you will slide and hold the large button on the left side of the MP3 player, this will turn on the player.
In other words you will take the large button on the left side of the player and push in on it as your are pushing down or up.
Look in the user manual on page 3, it will explain this: "Slide and hold:To turn Go Gear on."
Here is the user manual on line in case you do not have it.

ok you need to unplug the mp3 from usb port and then shutdown your computer properly then wen it is totally shut down turn it off at the wall and then back on the same thing happens with me you properbly just didnt shut your comp down properly last time you used it
wiggle your usb cord - I had to wiggle mine a bit where it plugs into the usb port in the computer before it was recognized and listed as a device in 'my computer'. only then did it actually start charging; if your computer is not recognizing it is plugged in, it may not charge.. when i finally figured this out, the actual charging of my 4 gig audiophase mps only took 10 minutes- previously i was trying to charge it for hours without any luck.
