Question about Coby DP-768 7-Inch Widescreen Digital Photo Frame with MP3 Player & 2 Wood Frames

Open Question

My digital photo frame won't recognize my jpg files

When I plug in my flash drive to the photo frame it tells me my jpeg files are an invalid format, and it just sits there.  If I leave it in long enough, though, it starts playing them automatically in slide show format.  However I can't start or stop it - it's just doing it's own thing - I have no control over it.

SOURCE: photo from computer won't show on camera

I suspect the JPG is NOT the correct size and resolution, it has to be a certain "way" to be used by the camera. You need to consult your manual and find out the exact size etc.

Not reading all photos on the thumbdrive.

From my research I see this device only supports JPEG/JPG formatted pictures. Please ensure that all pictures you wish to display are this format. You can convert the file format using MS Paint or any of your favorite picture editing programs.

Good Luck!

I have a Innova photo frame. My pictures are on my usb flash drive (card). I have 21 pictures on the flash. Only 12 pictures show on the photo frame. I tried deleting all pictures and putting them back...

This photo frame will only support jpeg files. Other formats can't be displayed as show up as a red x. Also, the picture is 800x600 so larger formated files may not display correctly either. Remove the SD card and look at it using your PC. Check that all the files are .jpg - if not either replace or reformat them to be jpg and it should work fine.

Sola SL D-104 Digital Frame Reading Flash Drive Pictures

I too gave a Sola SL D-104 for Christmas with 580 pictures on an 8 GB flash drive. I had no problem with the frame reading and displaying all pictures in continuous slide show plus looping at the end and starting over. Simply use the "Slideshow" button on the remote. Perhaps there were hardware problems with the drive or the frame. My 580 .jpg photos only used about 0.9 GB, so it might be easy to try another drive for only 300 shots. Were they all .jpg formats? The frame is fussy as to file format. Hope that helps.

I can't load photos onto my digital photo frame

The  A701 is  a bit cranky.  I've found that it prefers  USB  flash sticks of upto  2GB. It likes the flash stick formatting  before use.  And it prefers  jpg files  added  to the root directory of the flash stick -  so  no images in folders. Finally but probably least important, it's not much point uploading  2MB  jpgs as  the screen  is pretty much  72DPI  smaller size JPGS  lead to a faster loading. ( try  around 900x 600 dpi )

Insignia digital photo frame won't recognize some .jpgs

When you save in Photoshop make sure you select "Baseline ("Standard") on the JPEG options when you save. That should fix the problem for you. It did the trick for My Kodak SV710 digital frame which wasn't displaying images I had edited in photoshop.
