Question about Whirlpool RBS305PDS Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Oven does not work after running self cleaning

I have a Whirlpool oven model RBS305PDQ6. After running self clean the oven no longer heats up. The control panel still functions fully, says it is preheating when bake and start are selected, you can adjust the temperature, but the elements do not work. The fan blows, there is air coming out of the front vent. Everything appears normal, just will not heat up, neither bake nor broil.

I have the same problem. Any idea how to solve this

It's nice to list the possible solutions; but without the steps to do them, they are useless. How do you (for instatnce) reset the element, test the element, or test the connectors. Can you explain what the element is and how you go about testing it. Maybe a connection to a manual would help and a suggested page.

I have already locked and unlocked it a number of times. Just like dupe1955, everything works except for heat.

My whirlpool oven model RBD245 is locked after the self cleaning cycle, it does not heat up even if i open the latch with a tool?

Whirlpool have the self clean latch assembly solenoid go bad and wont return back to unlock the switch to tell the control is is no longer in self clean. Replace the self clean latch assembly or make sure the switch on the assembly is in the non self clean mode, If the oven starts working then you know the problem if it still doesn't work then there may be other issues.

I have a Whirlpool Self Clean oven Model number:RBS305PDS17. I used the self clean feature and now my oven will not heat up. All the digital controls work such as preheat and temperature, however there is...

Error code E2F3 indicates oven overheating, i.e. sensor is not cutting off heat. Replace the sensor, about $75 online. If you have done this more than twice, or if oven is acting strangely (for instance, broiler comes on during "bake" preheat), replace control board OEM part #8302994, about $170.

There is always going to be a problem whe you run your self clean feature. Your oven heats to over 800 degrees and this high heat takes out electronic parts.

Oven won't heat after self cleaning

There is a overload thermostat located on the rear of your oven that needs to be replaced.
Self cleaning operations are not recommended by this technician.
