Kitchenaid stopped working Modle KSM150PSER

I used the mixer last night to make cookies, worked fine other than I noticed the area where you attach beater bars was lose. This morning when trying to show hubby what it was doing it would NOT turn on at all...... any ideas as to what could be wrong??

Hi Phyllis. Unplug the mixer, lay it down on one side and look for the pin that holds the planetary shaft in place next to (where you attach beater). The pin may have worked itself loose. If this pin is not all the way through it's opening, the shaft will not turn the planetary unit. Hopefully the pin did not come all the way out and you can tap it back in. If the pin is gone, It's in one of your cookies and hopfully you'll find it before anybody else does. Hope this helps. Ricardok45.

No power on kitchenaid mixer

Apart from checking a fuse, there is little more you can do. Did you notice a loss of power or burning smell the last time you used this? What make and model you have may help others identify a known problem with your machine.

Kind Regards, Dan.

Kitchenaid 525 stopped working while mixing cookie dough

Let it completely cool and then start again. It overheated because your speed was set too low for the heaviness of the dough. I have burned up three kitchenaid stand mixers so far making bread. go up one setting at least; if it is straining, go up another.

Motors continue to go out. No notice or anything, just stops. Bake cookies, butter, sugar and flour only, not a heavy dough. Normally lasts for about 9 months. I always make sure butter is room...

When you say that the "motor's continue to go out," do you mean that the motor itself stops working or that the motor still runs but the beater stops turning? These are two different problems.

Take a look at this Service Manual which is correct for your model and see if it helps:

We just purchased the custom kitchen aid stand mixer on a boxing day special. We used it tonight to make cookies and then could not remove the bowl from the base. We are going to try the icecubes. If this...

The bowl screws into the base and can get quite tight if the mixer has been turning thick dough or other mixes. We usually tap the handle on the bowl with the palm of our hand a few times and that generally frees it. The other posibility is that the bowl was put into the base slightly askew. This could be more of a problem as this can cause the base plate to get damaged. Usually though if this happens you would have noticed some bad noises almost instantly you turned the mixer on.

Are attachments for a KitchenAid K5 compatible with the K55?

That would be incorrect. If the attachment is for a hobart kitchenaid mixer then it will fit all models of kitchenaid mixers including the brand new pro series because the attachment port and drive gear has not been changes since 1925 or 6 when it was first introduce by the Hobart company.
