My washer is making a loud noise during the spin cycle. Your advise was that a belt was broken. How do I replace this myself and where do I get the part?

Your advise to me was that my machine needs a belt. The washer makes a loud noise during the spin cycle. Can't I replace the belt myself without calling a repair man?

If the belt is broken the machine does not even spins, and therefore does not make this kind of noise, just humms.

In your case the belt is not broken,

if the noise is a kind of rattling noise, then there is an object in the foreign object trap, where the drain pump is, there is an access panel to access the trap and the pump.

If the noise is a kind of loud rumbling noise and the drum has excessive up and down movement of the drum, then the drum bearings are gone and must be replaced.

In both situations it is better calling a technician.

It it makes noise during spin cycle it can be just unbalanced. Try to stop it and rebalance the cloth inside it.
It might be also that a little piece of cloth gets outside the spinner. Try to check it for that too.
Unfortunataly sometimes that happened.
Good Luck

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.

If the belt was broken it would not spin, but it may be loose or burnt, to replace the belt remove the back panel of the washer, check to see that the belt is the issue, if it looks burnt or cracked lay the washer over onto the front this will give you access to the belt, from there it is pretty straight forward as to what u need to do to change the belt.

Here is what I think it is. It sounds from the description that the belt is starting to go, but not yet gone, so that would account for the noise getting louder as the speed increases. Now some of these european machines have all sorts of electronics on board, almost like a mini-computer. If you are handy enough to feel comfortable opening it up, and you are off warranty, you really have nothing much to loose. But the type of machine you have is expensive, and I wouldn't advise you to fool with it unless you feel comfortable doing so. It may be a bolt that came loose or any of several other things, the belt is inexpensive, so I would definitely try that first, you would be able to see the problem if you could open her up first, and if we got lucky that will be all it was. Did you call Bosh and ask them about the problem. Sometimes they will say something like ok that sounds like a belt, or some other part. Me not being able to diagnose it much further without seeing and hearing it makes it difficult to say with certainty that is what it is,

check your water pump, if something gets in it or the water pump
bearing is bad, it makes this kind of a sound. And since you claim it
makes the sound when its not spinning as well, that makes me believe
    its the water pump.

Take the lower front panel off then you'll see the drain pump with the
2 large rubber hoses attached to each end, get something to catch the
water in, then remove the hose clamps, and see if something is in the
drain pump, you can also remove the drain pump itself, by just taking
out the 2 5/16" bolts that mount it to the washer base.

What causes our front loading washer to make exceeding loud noise when it enters a spin?

Sounds like a bearing seal is going. The seal has ruptured and grease of seeping out. The loud noise is the bearings rubbing against each other without adequate grease to reduce the friction. Failure will come soon if it is not fixed. The vibration is coming from the friction and possibly damaged ball bearings .

Frigidaire front loading washer has loud spin cycle, Why?

That's a great question, Roth!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer is making a loud noise during the spin cycle. This could be an issue with your bel, motor, or tub. In order to find the cause of your noise you may need to disassemble your washer. This is not a simple DIY job and I would recommend contacting a technician to come out. This will help prevent any future issues or personal injuries. -Matt

GLEH1642DS1 FRONT LOAD STACKABLE WASHER MAKING LOUD THUMPING NOISE IN SPIN CYCLE & SQEALS WHEN i STOP IT

Sounds like you have an unbalanced load. I know this sounds too easy but lots of times this is the issue. If it doesn't help then you could have a bearing issue where the belt goes around a pully under the tub itself. If so you will have to replace the pully itself and perhaps the belt if it's gotten worn too much.

Whirlpool washing machine make loud noise after spin cycle quits. Noise continues until cycle winds down. Sounds like a machine gun being fired

Hello, have to tell you that most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping noise during the spin, the load of cloth may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the cloths, then restart the machine. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Thanks
