Question about HP LaserJet 2840 All-In-One Printer
Why does our 2840 leave 1/3 of a section of the paper black and fades away on the other 2/3 rd's? It has done this since it was about 1 month old....
The carousel that the toners are in has probably slipped a tooth on one of the gears at the sides. Look at the toners while they are in place and check that they appear level and consistant when compared to another straight edge adjacent to them. The carousel timing will require adjustment if they are not level.

To perform a clean reset:
1) Press and hold the Calendar button, the Power button, and the Messaging button.
2) While holding these buttons, use the stylus to lightly press the Reset button on the bottom of the HP iPAQ.
3) When the Pocket PC screen begins to fade, release all of the buttons, and then remove the stylus from the Reset button.
The HP iPAQ restarts and powers on.
Make sure you hold the keys down long enough.
