A pink vertical line appears suddenly on the screen (by 6 users)

I purchased a ChiMei CMV 221D 22" LCD display about 3 months ago. It worked perfectly until two weeks ago, when the infamous pink line appeared on the right side of the panel. No amount of powering off & on, playing with the buttons, or shaking worked. Then like one of you mentioned, the line would come and go intermittently - no rhyme or reason. Well, last week I found the reason, and maybe this will help one of you. My wife bought me a perpetual-motion desktop gadget featuring a chrome rod and ball sculpture that's supported on two poles over a base. Give the rod and ball a push, and it rocks back and forth forever. It can do this because there is a rather powerful electromagnet in the base, powered by a 9-volt battery. The ball contains a magnet also, and is repelled each time it passes the base, thus causing the motion. These magnets were affecting the flat panel display. Whenever I happened to push the sculpture close to the terminal, the line appeared. If I happened to move it back, the line disappeared. I finally placed it on a shelf away from the display and have not seen the line in four days. This could possibly happen with any powerful magnet placed close enough to the flat panel to interfere with the pixels. If any of you have placed any speakers near your display recently, or anything that might contain a magnet, move it further away and see if that resolves the problem.

I have purchased a new Samsung SynkmMaster 740N led monitor two months back.Suddenly a pink vertical line appears in the monitor.,and goes of its own.The computer attendant not able to solve the problem.How i can solve it?

A vertical pink line come some times(not always) The computer person
several times attended to clear the fault.He is not taking the moniter for repair.

I have a sharp LC-19 inch LCD and my 3 year old son play video game. He hit the screen with the controller and suddenly it has a vertical line of diff colors like pink green red on the right side of the screen. Everything is still working except of that vertical lines of color? Pls help.
