I get an F-02 prompt when doing laundry. Manual indicates this is a plugged drain although there has been a trickle of water draining from hose. I took hose off & cleaned it & even took top of machine off & cleaned the internal drain hose as much as possible using hot water & vinegar but it will only go so far, I'm assuming there is a backflow prevention drain. I am now trying to run through a load on Extra Hot water to see if that will work to clean from washer side. If this doesn't work, any other suggestions?

Re: HE4 front loading machine won't drain
Sounds like your pump is clogged. Take off the lower front panel via 3 ws on the bottom. Get a buch of towels, thiers gonna be water. Right in center front thier will be a white twist knob, about 3 inche in diamter. Unscrew it, this is when the water is gonna come out. If there is a secondary wall, pull it straight out with a pair of pliers. Clean out the pump, also check the little hole to the right leading into the impeller, make sure its clean. Finally put it back togther and try it out, If you get me a model # i can get you a schematic, should start with 110,thanks Dave www.washermd.com

According to siemens website Laundry appliances use many different codes depending upon age and origin. Faults that can be dealt with by the user are normally listed in the instruction book. Link to instruction manual download Flashing LEDs or displays frequently indicate door not closed, low water pressure or a blockage in the drain pump, drain hose or your drainage system.
Neptune washing machine displays error codes, also called "help codes,"
to identify specific problems with your washer. Once you close your
Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the
selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished.
Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and
drainage of water and the motor.
Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine
is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked
properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and
restart the washing cycle.
The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to
lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then
restart the washing cycle.
The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to
the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine
will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds
recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the
code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less
detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.
The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred.
Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the
washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.
The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining
as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand
pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them
before restarting the washing cycle.
The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the
selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is
closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door
should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code
remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back
into the electrical outlet.
The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not
running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced
by a certified Maytag repair professional.
F2 indicates a long drain usually caused by blockage in the filter, remove and clean out filter. Also Checkthe drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump www.appliancehelponline.com
That is, in short:FO2 is the code for long drain. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 screws. The panel will drop and come off. The filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in.
at the bottom of the washer is instructions on how to drain the water inside the washer. A small hose is contained at the bottom right hand corner with a white plug (you need to pull on it hard). Once you remove the plug from the small drain hose it will drain all the washer water.
Before you do all this make sure you disconnect the electrical wire or turn off the breaker switch to the washer machine.
A common problem I have found is pieces of paper and plastic, as well as coins, collect in the pump. Remove the lower front panel (3 screws at bottom of panel). Make sure washer is unplugged. The pump is right in front. On the front of the pump is a cream/tan colored face. Grasp the finger grip portion of the face and unscrew, going counter clockwise. Check for and remove those pieces of paper and plastic, as well as coins. The paper and plastic plug up the drain side of the pump, causing the 02 code and poor draining. Reassemble and test.
