Hello, My WDI12c Smeg washer dryer shows up error code E05 and beeps. This happens about 5 minutes after I put it to a wash cycle. Interestingly if I move it to a program with prewash it will prewash and then stop. I have checked the hoses and filters they are fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Washing machine error code E05 usually refers to the hot water temperature sensor at the back of the tub, it's not sensing a temperature change. It's not an error that can easily fixed by the user, so it is not listed in the manual. It could be the sensor itself, the heater, the controller or the wiring. Call for repair.
i beleve your door interlock is fautly
or the wiring too it can overheat and cook
so youll need a new one from smeg uk
and check out the connector for any issues

although its a different model i would assume the company uses the same error code setup for all its models
and i would order direct from smeg
remove the two wires from pump connect two wires with a test bulb. this would eliminate the control issue if the bulb lights. 240 volt bulb. take it from there
