I'm just beginning to work with my machine, but I have had a similar issue. Some of the possible solutions that I have found include (note: I've tried #1, I will try 2 and 3 soon)...
1. use stabilizer fabric.
2. if you're using tear-away stabilizer, and it is tearing prematurely, try a cut-away stabilizer (or maybe iron-on stabilizer?).
3. if you're embroidering on fabric like fleece, try 'hoopless embroidery' This involves using adhesive stabilizer - put the stabilizer in the hoop with no fabric, (if you don't have adhesive stabilizer, use regular stabilizer and spray it with a craft adehesive) then lay your fabric over the hoop and press the fabric onto the adhesive.
good luck.

How to transfer embroidery patterns to Brother sewing/embroidery machine

Machine designs first designator is the file name. Your machine shows the file number for the design you want. You do still need to "select" that design number shown to actually begin teh file transfer from a thumb drive or cable direct from your computer if your machine has that feature.

How do you place an embroidery design from a card into the machine memory? I have a ESe2. Thanks!

For the Brother NV1500 (aka Babylock Esante ESE2).

Bring the embroidery design onto the screen.

Press the save button in the upper right of the screen.(it looks like a pocket)

See pages 141 to 143 of your instruction manual "Saving Embroidery Patterns In The Machine's Memory"

This can happen, click back to tools option check whether hoops selection is correct. If this is not the problem, off your machine then put on again. If message remain pull out the embroidery carriage & push in again. Hope it can work.
In jam situation, just exit from your embroidery option, fix the jam by moving the embroidery carriage, work on a different design and see if it work. Sometime a design may not work fully.

If the design isn't too big, try rotating it in the hoop and stitch it sideways. If it works in that position, you probably should have the embroidery unit cleaned. I recommend the embroidery unit be serviced every 5 years. It may need it more often depending on your environment.

I have a designer 1. recently when i go to embroider, it starts fine then just goes hay wire and put teh embroider all over the place- not like the pattern. Sound to me like the emb. unit? thanks kathy

Hi Kathy, I'm sorry your Designer 1 is not feeling well.8*( It sounds like to me you need to get your embroidery unit re-calibrated by your local technician. When was the last time you had your machine serviced? Are the designs you are trying to embroider stock designs or your own designs? Have you tried resetting your machine by turning it off and back on again and let the machine calibrate again? (Take the hoop off before you do this and put it back on after you have selected your design) and try it again. Also how old is your machine? They had a recall on Des 1 purchased between 1999-2004 for a power supply problem. The serial # and recall info is on the Viking website at- www.husqvarnaviking.com. Also do you have enough clearance around your machine where the hoop is not hitting anything while it's embroidering that will throw it of big time! Hope something here helps you! If I can help you further you can also email me at- kats2sew@hotmail.com Happy Sewing!! Kathy ( from 1 Kathy to another)

Why can't I resize any embroidery pattern? If my machine does it, then how do I do it. Also, I bought the larger hoops for my machine and my patterns still can't be used on my machine. The machine says...

The embroidery area is programed into the embroidery machine to be a certain maximum area.

If your machine is limited to 4 x 4, then this is the maximum that can be stitched.

However, there are options. One is software to split the design into two or more sections that will fit within the limitations of the EM.

You have to stitch each section, re-hooping each time, or if your machine will accept a re-positionable hoop, this may save re-hooping.

Embird is a very popular brand that many home embroiderers used.

If you do a search, you will be able to sign up for a free trial of this software.

Multihoop and endless hoop features are not supported yet. If you have purchased a design that splitted to several parts, you need to place them in the proper order and from the proper position manually.

Can I transfer a pattern from brother 4000d machine to usb

Welcome to Fix Ya!
Are you trying to transfer a built-in pattern from your machine to a USB flash drive? I'm not sure if built-in designs can be transferred in their original form. You might try editing the design a bit, save it to a memory space, then save it to the memory stick. If you have a manual, it should describe how to move designs from your embroidery machine to your computer, and vice versa.
If you are other readers have time to rate my answer, you'll help me become a better expert. If you can give me more specific information about what happens when you try to upload a design from your machine, and whether you have a manual feel free to leave a comment and I'll check back with you.   Cheers, Ginny
