Question about Canon DR-7580
Have a canon dr-7580 showing a P00 error code on the display - paper jam. Have checked and ther is no paper jam in the scanner. Error will not clear. How can i get it to clear? Scanner dead until error is cleared.
It's going to be the sensor or the circuit board. Make sure the sensor is clear (use a vacuum cleaner with a crevice attachment blowing air should be very limited, because staples blown onto the circuit boards WILL fry them).
If the sensor is clear, then the sensor is probably unplugged; they don't go bad very often. If you don't feel comfortable taking it apart to check it out, call a tech. If you do take it apart, make sure the sensor and all cables are plugged in. If they are, you have a bad circuit board. For Canon Scanner Repair in Dallas, Texas :call Scan-R-Store
