Question about Washing Machines
Kenmore Elite Heavy Duty washing machine will not fill as fast as usual. Temperature does not seem to make a difference on fill time. I have read to check the water inlet valve and filters. Is this correct and how do I do that?
You will need to get behind the washer, turn the water off, disconnect the hose from the washer, look for a screen inside the water valve, hopefully there is one that you can clean if necessary. I always put the hose over in the washer and turn the water on to check the flow.
If the screens on both hot and cold are clear, water flow is good on both hot and cold, connect the water back to the washer. If the flow is still slow then the problem is inside the valve. The valve will have to be replaced.
