Re: how can i get my 60 gig ps3 to go online with...
Hi, I'm Ryan, If you had it set for a wired connection, and want to change it to wireless, you will need to goto the home page onthe PS3 and chand the internet connection from wired to wireless. It then will pick up any wireless networks so you can connect to them.

This is a network connectivity problem so to resolve this check the network connection of your PS3 to your network whether its connected with a CAT5 cable or via wireless...make sure the network connection is still good and also restart your PS3 to establish the connection again....
Make sure that your PS3 is connected properly to your wireless network if you have a wireless router, because sometimes if your PS3 is not configure correctly to work with your network it will have this problem..
Yes, using a longer ethernet cord will work, but the PS3 has a bult-in WiFi card that can connect to any wireless router (you can buy a wireless router from a computer store like BestBuy).
If you are going to buy a wireless router, see if a wireless G-mimo or wireless N with signal boost is within your budget. Try looking through the network settings to see if you can connect through the wireless router.
Or just get a longer ethernet cord and run it directly to the PS3 from the router. Ethernet cords are the most reliable connection, granted you are on a good internet connection, they won't get interference from things like mobile phones, cordless phones, microwaves, TV's etc.
I have both the PS3 and Xbox 360 and the only thing I like better about the PS3 is the free online game play and Blue-Ray. Other than that, they're even. Good luck and have fun online! If you find me (wraith0127) say hi! Don't forget to rate. Thank you!
actuallly a lot of ps2 games can be played with the HDMI connected. I do it all the time... however yes the 60 gig will not play every ps2 game and there is a whole slew of the 60 gigs that are not backwards compatable at all. check it out on wikipedia's page on the ps3.
I haven't had a problem with any ps2 game yet, and the only ps game that I own that hasn't played on my ps3 is FF8.
Can you provide more information? The Verizon Wireless broadband access is for your laptop only. In order for the PS3 to take advantage of it, you'll have to setup Internet Connection Sharing on your laptop. That way your PS3 can connect to your laptop via your laptop's wireless connection (in Ad Hoc mode since you don't have a wifi network) and access the internet via the VzW Broadband Access.
Yes, if you have broadband you can get a wireless router/modem. This is a little box that you attach to the telephone line and gives you wireless access to the internet. You can use a wired router/modem if you don't wont wireless in your home.
