It's probably faulty. I had the same problem and had to have it replaced because the headphones come with the phone so they couldnt just replace one or the other.

Perhaps you accidentally has lowered sound. Usually Panasonic phones are loud enough. Have you tried to turn up the volume during a call by pressing the joystick?

I have Nortel T7316E phones and Plantronics HW251N headsets. Is there a way to increase the volume for the mic so that the caller can hear us better?

The A10 direct connect cord used on the Nortel T7316E primarily will increase the speaker volume. If the problem is that your microphone is too low, you will need to use an amplifier, the M22. Remember that the amplifier needs to be connected through the HANDSET jack not the headset jack. Here is the link for the Plantronics M22.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Telephone ring is not loud enough. Can I buy a volume enhancer

This depends on the phone you are refering to. Although most phones have setup for increasing the volume to a higher tone. Check settings for your device and check volume control under volume control you should be able to raise the volume. Although i am yet to see a volume enhancer for phones.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

How do i increase the volume ob the receiver, not the ringer volume ,voice while speaking as i cant hear the other party loud enough

When you are talking on the phone (or listening to a dial tone), the volume control works to control the volume of the receiver. When the phone is not being used, the volume control is used to control the volume of the ringer.

Listeners say when I'm speaking to them on phone, it's too LOUD

If it is just the one phone you are calling, the problem might be with their volume contol...ask them to check the volume on their phone.

Lowering ringer volume on handset v tech 5.8 digital phone

You didn't indicate exact model of your phone. However I have indicated the procedure used for common Vtech's 5.8Ghz phones

Ringer volume
• With the handset or base in idle (off) mode, press MENU then
press ▲ or ▼ until RINGER VOLUME is shown
• Press SEL. You will hear a sample of the ringer
• Press ▲,▼ or a digit (0 through 6) You will hear a sample of
the new ringer volume and the volume bar will be increased or
decreased each time the setting is adjusted At the lowest setting
the ringer will be turned off and the display will show:
- OR -
• With the handset or base in idle (off) mode, press or of the
volume control will directly go to ringer volume menu
• Press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the ringer volume

Good Luck

Connect/Program Headset

Sure you can do it. as long as the headset has a plug for the handset your fine. Plug it in and you will have to pick up and hang up the handset as needed. The headset key eliminates you having to pick up and hang up the handset to answer with the headset.
