AEG Lavamat w850 not finishing cycle! help!

My washing machine starts out fine, but when it gets to the point when water should be removed, it doesnt. So basically, it's only washing once and everything remains soapy and the machine doesnt work any further. A technician came already, cleaned the filter, which had a bit of debris, but the washing machine never worked properly again. I checked the filter again, but it's clean. What could be the problem?? thanks alot!
