Question about GE GSD3200J Dishwasher

No water coming into dishwasher Model# GSD3200G00WW

After running our dishwasher through a cycle we noticed that no water has come into the dishwasher. We tried again and still no water. The water line running to it has plenty of water pressure.

I have the same model and had this issue twice in four years. What causes this is a water level switch inside the dishwasher, left at the bottom, almost touching the door. The switch has a cover that looks like a cup upside down. Remove that cover and give a perfect, thorough cleaning in and around the switch (including inside the cover) to make it look new again. The switch should start working freely again. You don't need to buy new parts to replace anything.

Check to see if you have any switches on your dishwasher that could by pass a rinse cycle. Use a hotter temparture when washing, Check your water level, check your filters on your inlet hose top and bottom. When it gets to a rinse cycle you should hear it drain out and bring in fresh water. you could change to a liquid detergent. Dont over load your dishwasher. make sure you are using rinse aid and try adjusting it up one setting. Shiney glasses means your rinse add is working. NZL

after it starts leaking, open the dishwasher & look for suds floating on the water. do the suds stay longer than 10 seconds or so? if so, then liquid dish soap (dawn, etc.) is getting introduced into the dishwasher

Replace the pump, if you go through the trouble of repairing the pump and all the disassembly and then more problems will probably ensue. As far as location it is usually located under the washer. Accessed through the front service panel. Make sure you follow all safety procedures #1 being unplug the washer or turn off breaker prior to proceeding.

Try and drain water out completely and restart cycle. Note if water comes in and if so, once in is there a hum (audible) when in effect the motor should run. If so, the motor is jambed and needs to be cleared. Check the door limit has not malfunctioned as well. It can be bridged temporary to confirm.

What is your water temp. This model has 4 automatic water heat cycles built in to it and it heats the water to 145 degrees and won't let advance till that temp. If the water coming in is lower than 120 degrees it will add about 2 hours to your normal wash cycle.

Rinse cycle continues after the door is open

There is a door interlock within the door assembly. I believe it's mechanically stuck rather than needing replacing.

Turn off & unplug. You should be able to get to the internals of the door via screws around the edge. The interlock will be very close to the handle catch. Check operation by inserting a dummy catch to lock onto it.

If it is stuck solid - order a replacement.

Water not coming into dishwasher

Without knowing the model number of your GE dishwasher, but some dishwashers don't notice when the float / float switch is stuck. That could cause the dish washer to move through all the cycles but never have water flow into the dishwasher. That would be the first place I would look. But please post back here with what you find (plus the model number of your dishwasher) before ou rate me level of helpfulness, OK?

Start flashes and will not begin wash cycle

My dishwasher Model is 665 15891790 and the serie #FG3907905. After programing my dishwasher and pressing the start button, it fills with water, but when it is due to start the sensing light comes on. I have notice that the ring under the watering arm on the bottom of the machine seams to be cracked. Could that be the problem for the machine not starting its' cycle. Thank you.
