Tape Will Not Eject

I put a cleaning tape in my Sony TRV30 Mini DV Camera and now it won't eject. The door opens, but the tape doesn't eject. Any ideas on how I can get this tape out? My 7 grandsons will be here for Christmas for the first time ever and really need to get my camera working. Please hurry if you know how I to fix this.

Try first removing battery and putting it back.

If tape still does not eject , that means that tape must be stuck and wrappped around rollerm, inside the camcorder, in this case it is better goinfg to a camera shop, they will fix it on the spot.

Sony PC-105 - camera won't charge, hence tape will not eject. Is

I just had the same issue except I left my camera out in the rain. My camera is a DCRF-HC32 Sony Handicam. There is a reset button on the side of the camera where the eject door is. Take a paper clip and hold the reset button in for 5-10 secs. The camera will beep, power on, open the door and it ejected.

Cannot find way to eject tapecassette

Check eject lever near battery, press it downward to open tape compartment, take out old tape and put new tape, close tape door and let it go inside by itself. Close tape compartment.

Below image will help you to locate eject button/ lever in DCR-HC18E camcorder.
Thanks.

ZR25MC, DV tape can't be ejected.

The best way to get it out is take it to a camera shop of Best Buy. They didn't put a manual eject on the player. If you take it into a shop they should know what to do.

Once it's out clean the heads with a DV tape cleaner.

I had the exact same problem; my tape icon was flashing red with a line through it and the recorder would not record, no matter how hard I begged it to. After a full day of frustration, I called the videographer who had used it previously. There is a little trick.

1. Open the exterior tape door with the "Eject" button.
2. Wait, dont touch the tape. The little metal encasement will pop over and open within a few seconds.
3. To properly put the tape in, insert tape, push the little metal door that sais "Push this first".
4. Then push the exterior door closed.

Voila! Thats all there is to it!
