On turning laptop on screen stays blank fan works for short while

    the computer seems to turn on because the light and the fan turn on but the screen doesn't. what could be wrong with it?

Sounds like the motherboard is shot, may need to replace the motherboard, I would send in for repair. Sorry.

possibly a memory issue, remove memory modules, if there are two fitted test one at a time by removing them one at a time, try turning laptop back on

take battery out then get rid of dust then restart it if still doesn't start make sure adaptor works correctly, if problem is still there its a computer error/bug

Hit power button turns on and off then stays on and blank screen


Hi countryman48, try to remove the cables & battery on the pc when its turned off. Then press & hold the power button for 5 seconds, and then reinsert the cables and battery on the laptop.

Turn on the pc, and if it still black screen appeared on it, pls call the tech support of your brand for possible repair of your pc..

Computer on, screen blank and wireless unresponsive


YUP... sound like a motherboard problem. Could be a short somewhere. Try taking the Battery out and also the hard drive and put them back again. I have fixed such problems before by doing just that. GOOD LUCK !!

Screen stays blank when turned on


take your computer to your dealer and send it for repair.

The problem is most likely the inverter for the screen.
actually to see if that is the problem you can try to put bright light to the screen and see if you barely see the picture.

BLANK SCREEN


Your Back light has most likely gone out.. There is a possibility that your resolution may be to high or that you have it set to output on an external display... If its your res. you should be able to hit F8 at startup to enter safe mode... If it is the external display you need to hit FN + the key that has a little blue or yellow monitor (its a different key on each laptop)
