The red light flashes continuously and the blanket does not warm up. I have tried to contact Imetec via phone and their website. The recorded phone message says that they are closed for the Christmas holiday and will reopen on Tuesday 6th January - that was yesterday and the same message was recived today. The web site www.imetec.co.uk shows a blank screen. Have Imetec become a casualty of the current financial problems?

    is it a bug?

Same problem and sourced a replacement from e-bay seller...same problem with the replacement. Various message boards highlight as a widespread issue and share the comments re contacting Imetec i.e. you cant!

I have the same problem, have looked in the instruction manual for a fix, and searched Google for other websites which offer a workaround without any luck.

I have the same problem.  I have just seen this website that says some have been recalled,  so I will go and look if ours is one of the dodgy ones!

Yep, same problem. Come on Dreamland sort it out!

I think we have a damaged Imetec Dreamland controller. We have a double so I could try swapping the controllers. With the other controller it heats, of course. I have tried to take it apart, but unfortunately only by damaging the hooks that holds it. there are four of them, and in principle they could be pushed from the side outward: get inside with a screwdriver under about 30 deg and try to find the hook, it a plastic thing with slopy head...I couldn't do that without damaging the hooks...You may be luckier or better diy person.

After that i'll check if the fixed fuse alive or not... (but at the moment my multimeter doesn't work, battery ended...)

Instead of contacting Dreamland I decided to try fixing it because I simply cannot find any contact to Dreamland...There are pprobably hundreds of websites containing the word dreamland...

    Anyone have a website address?

    Thanks

    Zoltan

Yes we had an electric duvet from this company and it stopped working. Was replaced very kindly and no fuss by John Lewis and the same thing happened. (They had said they wouldn't replace again) . Spoke to the company but the woman was very rude. Said that if we lived in a rural area that was our tough luck basically. (A power surge or something). I don't think that's acceptable but we have given up on it now. I think there are 'known' issues with these products that are beingswept under the carpet.

Dreamland gave us a free replacement King/dual blanket to replace a dud one 4 or 5 years ago - my side of the 'new' one only ever worked intermittently - now the red light only flashes twice each 5 seconds and ... no heat!! Now I can't find their e-mail/address. Sacre bleu!!

I had the same problem, after opening the casing by breaking off the internal hooks, I bridged out the controller completely by unsoldering the blue wire (must be that one) at the blanket end of the controller, and linking from the now free blue wire to the other blue wire on the mains input end. The blanket will now be on maximum heat all the time without any timer or heat control, so you should only use it with an external timeswitch. I used a tyrap to keep the casing together.

My husband and i were just recently given the queen size, dual remote heating blanket from you guys. When we try to turn on either of our remotes, it flashes F2 consistently unless unplugged. Is there...

The first link has some info about the F2 code.Apparently it used to be seen as FF but was changed. It is a power problem. It is still the same problem, which is REALLY not good. The next couple of links are forums which people also have the same problem as you.I would seriously get rid of that blanket.I saw someone mention EMF.I know exactly what EMF is and it is not an issue with this blanket at all,and is present in many things.A microwave probably has more, and still is not an issue.Anything that plugs into a wall has some form of EMF present,so do not even worry about it.

Rinnai rhfe-431faIII heater malfunction

Either the high limit switch is either defective or the wire has come off and the circuit is open. It is found under the heat shield on the front of the heat exchanger. Or there is a blockage in the flue or the blower motor is not running. Take the to trim piece off that is closest to the wall and disconnect the gray plastic hose off of the vent termination and try to start the unit. If it starts, you need to clear out the outer ring on the vent termination. If it continues to fail, there is still a problem and now you will need the installer back. Check all electrical connections going to the circuit board while you have the front cover off.

Indication light "RED" on continuously during operation. Unit fires up, heats up and blows hot air. Why is LED "RED" on when unit shuts down?

not knowing wich one is on, this red light could be your power indicator light..
it stays on during any operation,
you should be able to see it through the sight glass
if it were flashing,,,, there would be a problem
