Question about Panasonic CT-36HL43 36" TV

1 Answer

This sucker will not turn on.

Problem began with "channel up/down" failure. Unable to change channel with remote or manual button on TV. Next day TV would not turn on either with remote or manual switch. It does have power. Could it be a loose connection on some control board behind the front panel? Thanks for any suggestions. Ken

Re: This sucker will not turn on.

Check the buttons on the TV set and make sure they make a small detent like click to them, as sometimes these buttons will stick and cause the entire set not to work. Good Luck

Bought it used without a manual. when turned on the channel is set to a channel that we dont receive. cant figure out how to set a new start channel.

You can access the on-screen menu by pressing the Vol+ and Vol- buttons together on the front of the TV . Alternatively use a remote and press Menu to access the menu (not all low end remotes will match the feature) An exact replacement remote is available here: . Then use the channel up and down buttons on the TV to select menu items. If using the remote use the play, fast forward, fast rewind back and pause to go through the menus. Press Menu to go back one level in the menus.

Once you have the menu up, go to the bottom of the list to Install. Select Tuner Mode (the options are Antenna, Cable and Auto) and make sure that is set correctly. Next select Auto Program to look for all available channels or Edit Channels to change the channels you will see when you change the channel with the Channel up and down buttons.

Please note that the TV only has an NTSC (analog) tuner and must be used with a set-top box to see any channels other than the remaining low power stations that have not switched to digital.

Once you have a new channel list, the TV will remember the last state it was in. (Please note that the A/V inputs are reached by pressing Channel up or down past the tuner channels.

I hope this helps.

BEKO TRW325 TV. Frozen on chanel 1.

I turned the TV off. I held in all of the (4) buttons on the front of the TV and turned the TV back on again....this seemed to free up the remote control access and I was able to work the TV normally. The four buttons were the channel and the volume controls.

I am stuck on channel 2

some tv's default to channel 2 after being unplugged.since it is a older tv ,the buttons on the remote and the tv maybe worn down.on the tv itself try pushing the buttons down a liitle harder. if you have aux or line in/video inputs, scroll down on the channel button to log into a aux channel for the dvd for the remote try buying a cheap universal remote to see if that works.
good luck
