I need the torque settings for a Ford fiesta 1.4 2010 for the main bearings the head bolts and big ends

Here are the torque settings for a Ford Fiesta 1.4 2010 for the main bearings, head bolts, and big ends:
Main bearings
  • Main bearing caps: 1st stage - 7 Nm, 2nd stage - 16 Nm
  • Main bearing bolts: 45 Nm + 90°
Head bolts
  • Cylinders 1-3: 2nd stage - 30 Nm + 90°, 3rd stage - 80 Nm + 180°
  • Cylinder 4: 2nd stage - 25 Nm + 90°, 3rd stage - 60 Nm + 180°
Big ends
  • Connecting rod cap nuts: 1st stage - 22 Nm, 2nd stage - 40 Nm + 90°
Please note that these are just the general torque settings. The exact torque settings may vary depending on the specific engine and vehicle. It is always best to consult your vehicle's service manual for the correct torque settings.
Here are some additional tips for tightening the torque settings:
  • Use a torque wrench to ensure that the bolts are tightened to the correct torque.
  • Tighten the bolts in a star pattern, working your way from the center out.
  • Do not overtighten the bolts, as this can damage the engine.

Hi iv got an escort 1.8 16v zeetec its r reg and iv had the head re conditioned i need 2 put the head bck on but i need to no the torqe setting can u help me thankyou.

hi yes here are the torque settings

stage 1 is 25nm
stage 2 is 45nm
stage 3 is turn 105 degrees

try leaving about 10 mins between each torque so it can settle also you have to tighten them in sequence and make sure you use new head bolts as these are the stretch type and if you are using the old ones there could be a chance of one snapping, just a little advice..hope this helped

Cylinder head ford zetec escort p reg

Stage 1 = 15Nm
Stage 2 = 40Nm
Stage 3 = Plus 90 degrees or quarter of a turn. Good tip is to mark all the bolts after initial torque setting with tip-ex , i.e. all to the front of the car. When you finish they should all point towards the timing belt.
This is also a good way to make sure you don't miss one or tighten one twice if you are distracted since it is not a torque setting. New bolts should be used by the way as they are stretch bolts. Timing of cams - remove cam cover and you will see a slot on the end of the cams. Opposite end from belt. You need to slip a piece of 5mm flat bar or a long 5mm allen key into then so that the bar rests on the face of the head. Engine should be a tdc.
cheers John
