Gtalk is fully compatible with wmp 11.
if it stops showing the current track,
open wmp,
right click on the bottom pane,
goto tools-pluggins-options.
select background,
check gtalk.
that should solve ur prob.

Step 1: Go to the root directory of Winamp which is usually in C:\Program Files\Winamp\
Step 2: Select Tools->Folder Options->View (Tab) and uncheck the hide extensions for known file types and click Ok.
Step 3: Now create an empty file (Right click the mouse -> New -> Text document), so the default file would be like “New Text Document.txt”.
Step4: Rename the above file to “winamp.m3u” and save.
Step5: Close Winamp and Google Talk. Now open again and Your Show Current music track status should work

Why does Philips GoGear VIBE corrupt folder structure after transferring music

Could be several reasons. The program is only allowing space for certain tracks so puts them in a second folder.
Or the program is making a back up folder, which does not show up in windows (or less you specify show hidden folders).
It has settings that for example only allow a certain number of tracks on an album.

How can I upload album art onto a philips gogear vibe for all my artists? I have album art inside my folders and i had itunes embed the art into the files when i uploaded them; however the art only shows...

There are 3 possible ways in getting the album art for your music album.
  1. Album art may be obtained from the online Music CD database that Windows Media Player uses.
Note: Not all music albums have album art available in the online CD database.
  2. From the online music store where you purchased your songs or albums, the album art may be downloaded along with your purchase.
  3. You may also create your own album art by transferring your favorite jpg photo into the selected album folder and rename it to Album Art.jpg.
To download album art from the online database and transfer to the player.
  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Launch Windows Media Player.
  3. Go to Tools> Options> Player.
  4. Make sure the "Enable picture support for devices" check box is selected.
  5. Click the Apply, then the OK buttons.
  6. Select the "RIP" tab on the task menu bar.
  7. Insert your music CD into the CD drive of your computer. The Windows Media Player will take a few seconds to show the content of the CD on the display.
  8. Click "Find Album Info". The Player accesses the database hosted by WindowsMedia.com and displays information about the album in the Album Information pane. The album art will be shown if available.(Note: For some music CD, album art may not be found in any of the online database.)
  9. Click Finish to update all the information about your album and show it in the Rip pane.
  10. Connect your Device to the computer.
  11. Select the tracks that you would like to rip by clicking in the check b ox next to the track.
  12. Click the Rip music button to start ripping the music CD.
  13. Once the tracks are finished being ripped to the library, go to the Media library and select the songs that you have just ripped.
  14. Add them to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  15. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  16. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.

To create your own album art and transfer it to the Device
  1. In Windows Media Player , right click on the song you want to update the album art of.
  2. Select "Advanced Tag Editor" option.
  3. In the screen that pops up , select the "Pictures" tab.
  4. Use the drop down list to make sure that the type of picture you add is the Cover (front).
  5. Click on "Add" to associate a picture as the Album art for the song and all the songs in that album.
  6. Add this (and other songs from the same album) to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  7. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  8. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.
You can also click on this link to show the graphical steps on how to upload/add album art on your songs.

Hope this information helps. If it does, please do not forget to give me a rating and a comment.

Cannot make mp3 files from cds

Don't bother using Roxio for this - use Windows Media Player 11.
1. Open Windows Media Player
2. Run the mouse over the "Rip" tab - a small aroow should appear underneath the word "Rip" - click on the arrow and a drop-down should appear.
3. Select - "Format" - change to "mp3"
4. Now insert your CD and press the Rip button - by default, Windows Media Player will store the mp3 files in the My Documents --> My Music folder

Now use Roxio to make a CD out of the Mp3 files

Good luck!

Simpletech 250gb hard drive

can you access the music with windows media player? If you can, itunes is corrupted as you moved the music to a new drive and itunes will only look for it in the itunes folder it sets up. Best option is reinstall itunes and it will find your music on the new drive.

C cover art does not transfer to my zen vision m, only the music tracks transfer

A few possibilities. Go to http://193.95.171.83/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=224,E=0000000000373151655,K=1742,Sxi=15,Case=obj(8179),Kb=ww_english_add,VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com/

for more details

Creative ZEN players do not currently support album art from Rhapsody version 4.0.
Album art is either embedded in a track, or exists as a thumbnail image in a separate file, allowing one album art file to be associated with an album. Currently, Rhapsody only supports album art embedded in the track. Future versions of Rhapsody are expected to support thumbnail versions.
Creative Media Explorer or Windows Media Player 10 or 11 can be used to transfer music purchased from Rhapsody to a player with album art included.

Album Art is supported by Creative ZEN, Creative ZEN V Plus, ZEN V, Vision:M and ZEN Vision players.
The ZEN Vision (PF1150) requires a firmware update for Album Art. You can download the updated firmware:
If you experience any difficulty transferring Album Art with Windows Media Player 10 or 11, to ZEN Vision:M, delete WMPInfo.xml (see below), and then transfer the tracks again.

Some songs from that were put on disappeared

I never use Windows Media to add music to my sansa... If you want all music to show up click on my computer and then click on the icon for your sansa. there may be a folder that says music but if not it is a hidden folder. if this is so you must go to tools, then folder options, and then the tab that says view. under this will be an option that says hidden files and folders and click show hiden fles and folders and OK. this should allow you to see the music folder. from here on you can just copy and paste all files.

Getting album art

I used MediaMonkey I have successfully encoded over 1000 mp3 with the album artwork interlaced in the ID3 tag. The only issue I have now is that some of the artwork shows up and some doesn't? If I open the same music in a media player that supports album artwork it shows up fine?
