Have the engine bulkhead connector checked for water intrusion or loosened connections.

If your exhaust smells like sulpher and the exhaust coming out of the tail pipedoes not stop immediately after engine is turned off. Your catalyctic converter is restricted. Have chk'd by muffler shop

Ok you need to correct the mechanical issue and then deal with the codes, they are a result of the engine problem, not the cause of it.

Check the MAP sensor and the fuel pressure at the shredder valve. Before you try to start the engine, cycle the ignition 3 times to the run position for 10 seconds apart and then try starting the car. You may be lossing the fuel pressure prime. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to hlep.

The heater on my 02 mondeo takes about 30 minutes to start working properly, if I put the blower on too soon the temperature gauge shoots down, any ideas?

It sounds like the thermostat is stuck open. The thermostat is closed until the coolant in the engine gets heated up. Once it get hot, the coolant is cycled to the radiator to be cooled by air passing thru it. The coolant that was in the radiator is cycled to the engine where it is heated - or more properly termed, is used to cool the engine to keep it from overheating and seizing. The heated coolant is used to provide heat for the cabin in cold months.

Heres a video showing the job on a 2001 Mondeo and should be pretty similar job.

Will not restart

Sounds like vapor lock. This is when the fuel turns into a vapor before reaching the engine (it needs to be in a liquid form). This is usually due to high temperature from the engine and environment. I would have someone check it out.

Ford mondeo faults

if it is still turning over check there is no air getting into the fuel line. it is the 1.8 TD... check for fuel leak at the pump on the engine.

Ford mondeo mk3, intermitent dumping of water from cooing system, found crack in header tank, changed same, ran car at idle, temp guage at normal & heater blowing hot , took car for run , temp guage off...

You may have an air pocket in your system which some times happens.  One way to get rid of it is to take the upper hose off on the engine side,  fill your system with water until it runs out from your engine block, replace the hose, start your car turn you heater on and set to hi keep the radiator cap loose until the temp start to rise then close tight.  Once the air pocket had been remover you can drain some of the water from the radiator using the lower drain plug and add antifreeze.

Engine runs very poor when it gets hot

it has a sensor problem or a blocked air filter ?' if its a sensor then its most likely to be the one on the other side of the throttle linkage
