I have SSR up series 15-30hp air copressor. The compressor will start and build pressure until the pressure gets to a certain reading on the gauge and the unloader valve begin to unload the air out. But the...

The compressor will run stop start or load unload. There is a switch for this. Make sure the right mode is selected.stop start for light use. Load unload for heavy. This mode keeps the starting and stopping to keep from burning up the motor. That is rated by stops per hour. They shouldnt be more than 10 times per hour

does the motor hum? if so, the motor capacitor is faulty.

Ck rotation motor

Controller sensing wrong rotation of compressor. The 220 volt 1 Phase motor rotation can be changed. If this is a new compressor check to make sure all vacuum lines are tight and not cracked. The rotation error is caused by the lack of vacuum to the avpt transducer. The transducer may also be bad or not connected properly. check the connections to the transducer. Wiring and plastic vacuum line. If this is a unit that has had the motor replaced visually verify rotation of the motor. Rotation arrows should be on the unit. I believe rotation should be clock wise. If it is indeed motor rotation incorrect the motor tag should show the correct internal motor connections to make the motor rotation change> If not comfortable take it to a trusted motor shop.

Have a SSR-EP100 air compressor that shows

Try to reset the main motor and fan motor over loads by pushing the reset on the overload it self, Then reset the controller. If the error resets, before starting. put a clamp on amp meter on to L1 or L3 motor lead which is located in the compressor electrical box . Then start and observe amps when unit is making air fully loaded. Once you know how many amps at full load the unit is pulling ,look at the overload setting on main motor overload and see if it is approxmately 10 amps above the max amps being pulled. If not set it about 10 amps above your max load amps.

My speedaire compressor hasn't been turning on automatically to keep the tank filled with air, The reset breaker pops and so I have to rotate the pullys a few times and then push the reset button which...

Sounds like the release valve is not working. When the compressor shuts off, you should hear a slight hiss, draining residual air in the cylinder. If the motor starts up and can't rotate, it will blow the breaker. When you rotate the pulleys, you take the load off giving the motor a fighting chance.

Compressor spits out oil when unit is stopped

MIGHT CAN HELP. NOT AN I.R. EXPERT BUT KNOW A GOOD BIT ABOUT SCREW COMP. ARE YOU SHUTTING UNIT DOWN SUDDENLY WITH EMERGENCY STOP OR SOMETHING. SOME UNITS DO THIS MORE THAN OTHERS BECAUSE THE WAY THE VALVE CLOSES. BURPING OIL THROUGH THE INTAKE IS ALSO CAUSED BY SUDDEN STOP INSTEAD OF THE UNIT SLOWLY SHUTTING DOWN AND THE OIL IS RUNNING BACK SLOWLY. THE UNIT ACTUALLY TURNS BACKWARDS A LITTLE BIT. YOUR OIL SHOULD NOT COST THAT MUCH. YOU CAN CONTACT ME FOR PARTS AND PRICING ON THE OIL. YOU CAN SAVE ALOT OF MONEY WITH AFTERMARKET SERVICE PARTS AND OIL -THEYRE JUST AS GOOD AS OEM.I WOULDNT USE 30W OIL ! YOUR POOR AIR DELIVERY MAY BE AFFECTED BY WORN PARTS DUE TO LUBRICATION. HOW OLD IS UNIT? MODEL # ? CONTACT ME JBRIDGERS@CA-EQUIP.COM FOR INFO & PRICING. ME AND 1 TECH WOULD PROBABLY COME DOWN AND FIX IT FOR YOU FOR AN ALL EXPENSE TRIP FOR FREE. WE ARE IN NC AND DONT GET OUT ENOUGH.
