The microsoft doesn't identify the osprey 230

I reinstalled the driver for a osprey card on the xp system. I can see everything fine in the device manager. But the micosoft encoder just doesn't identify the video capture. But, it can recoganize the audio capture. And the Avstream does the same thing. I reinstalled the driver several time, but doesn't help.

Try an older osprey driver. it might work. I had a similar problem. we had an older version downloader earlier. it worked. sometimes after the online update of windows causes similar problems. regards,

Re: The microsoft doesn't identify the osprey 230

Since the audio works but not the video, it sounds as though the problem might be in the codec, not the driver. check card provider to see if there is an updated codec pac or new service pac. try:

Can my dc30plus work with win7

this might be a driver or or a dirty/dusty socket
if you remove the card make sure the socket is clean restart your computer this should activate found new hardware wizard or Win7/Vista/XP Driver Max is a new tool that allows you to download the latest driver updates for your computer. No more searching for rare drivers on discs or on the web or inserting one installation CD after the other. Just create a free account, log in, and start downloading the updates that you need.
You can also export all your current drivers (or just the ones that work ok) to a folder or a compressed file. After reinstalling Windows you will have everything in one place!
Most of the situations when Windows is running slower are caused by faulty driver installations. Windows stores all versions of older drivers just in case you want to go back; sometimes it messes up older versions with more recent ones. The Export Wizard will only export the drivers you select by copying the needed files to a folder or a compressed ZIP file.
After reinstalling Windows all drivers will be back in place in less than 5 minutes - sparing you of searching, inserting disc after disk and losing precious time. The Import Drivers wizard allows you to install all the drivers that you exported earlier. The entire operation might take up to 5-10 minutes.
Just one single computer restart will be required after all drivers are reinstalled!
DriverMax is able to display a complete report of all drivers (versions, release dates) installed on your system. This feature can also be very useful when you want to analyze the differences between the drivers installed on different machines. Hope this helps

Hi,i have the problem with Audio device on my Osprey 210, video works grate..but audio don't work.... help'

Here's an easy way to install or update your sound card driver:

Use this driver scanning tool, which scans your computer for the needed drivers. It has an option to automatically retrieve them for you.

You can download this free tool from here or directly from this link

After you have downloaded the above file, double-click on it and follow the simple steps to install it. Then, when it asks if you want to run it, just answer yes. This is easier than manually searching, downloading and installing the drivers.

Hope that helps,

Osprey 210 audio problem

The breakout cable has the RCA connectors needed. Yellow is Video, Red and White are the 2 audio inputs. Alternate inputs are the 1/8" stereo jack for sound and the S-Video plug. (not to be used all together). is their website.
Also check the setup for recording, that the audio source is selected properly.
