Question about Washing Machines
Hi i have a problem with my diplomat 8512 the drum will not go around it will run through the cycle but will not actually wash the clothes or spin as the drum is not going around anyone had the same problem could it be a motor problem?
Certainly sounds like the motor, see if you can see if the drive belt is o/k, if it is then I would remove the motor and check the brushes for wear, if they appear to be o/k ,then I would think you have a controller problem.
Plz rate my solution.

Hello gen0313 - From what you are describing it sounds like the unit could possibly have a broken shock/bearing or damaged tub. A certified technician will need to accurately diagnosis the bearing and pulling system behind the drum for repairs.
