I don't think the Dell B120 laptops come with wireless hardware by default, I think you have to order that as extra because mine didn't come with wireless

How can I enable wireless for none wireless module of CF-R8?

I suggest staying away from BIOS flashing. Last thing you want is a brick.

In Win 7 - Go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing > Manage network connections. Enable the wireless card.

In XP - Go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections. Enable the wireless card.

I want to disable sata mode on my sony vaio vgn-fs742/w, please help because i cant reinstall xp on the system and the lan and wireless in not working when i install windows 7 on it.

The problem is that XPinstallation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on adisk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then,XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP. The FIX. Go into the BIOS anddisable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is aIDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows hasbeen installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver),then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

Dear sir, pls i have sent you a massage about my problem for dell inspiron 8600 win vista home premium installed but i cant get the correct driver for wireless adapeter to install i recieved an email from...

Hi, you can use the windows xp driver from here:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_P4M_8600&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

As long its 32 bit system you are running.
The driver does not exist for windows vista.

You maybe have to find the name for the
wireless adapter in the device manager.

Select network and download the driver.

Hope this will help you.

FREE DOWNLOAD OF LAN DRIVERS FOR DELL INSPIRON B120

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

You can try checking the BIOS first see if its disabled in the BIOS to boot to the BIOS turn on your computer Press bios2.jpg during POST to enter the system setup program.

once in the BIOS you might have a multi page view, or a one page view, look for the INTEGRATED NIC see if its enabled or disabled. just enable it and restart the system then:

download
LAN CARD DRIVER

http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R54631.EXE

see if it works. hit me back with the result.

With lan card

Hi,
please restart your system and at the blue dell logo keep tapping the F2 key, the bios setup screen will open, check in here if the lan card is enabled here or not. if not enable the lan card, once it is enabled from here windows will detect it and prompt you to install drivers.

Boot Failure

i am assuming you have allowed the bios to detect that there is a different hard drive fitted as it will be looking to boot from an non existent drive. If you have fitted a new HDD with an operating system already on it then you will have to repair windows as its a change in hardware. If you cant get the bios to see the drive then the motherboard has an IDE or Sata connector problem.
