Question about Kodak EasyShare C330 Digital Camera

Lens Error 25

About a week ago, I put my Kodak EasyShare C330 into my purse. I guess my purse got bumped around and turned the wheel on the camera into the "Favourites" position. I noticed this had happened before the batteries drained completely and turned it off. I turned it back on to make sure it was ok, the lens came out like it was supposed to, but it said "Lens Error 25" on the screen. I tried turning the camera off, but the lens didn't retract and when I turned the camera back on, I got the same error message. I've already tried banging the bottom of the camera (that's what some people say works). Any help is appreciated.

Guess what I tried banging the bottom of my CW330 camera, as suggested by Timewarped, and the lens retracted and the "Lens Error 25" cleared. I can't believe it, you saved me about $80 in repairs. Thanks

I had exactly the same issue with my camera. To fix mine I twisted the lens to the right while it was extended, it takes quite a bit of effort, try turning the camera on again and see what happens, if it doesn't work twist it back into its original positions again. When I did this it started working again, although the lens is not as smooth on extension or retraction as it was before the issue. Also take out the batteries in between use as they always turn themselves off and on which I'm sure is the cause.

What does lens error 14 mean. Screen goes black

This is a lens error. KODAK suggests a repair for this fault.

However a repair for this model is around 48 pounds, you are properbly. better off considering a new camera. KODAK also offers a trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.

Lens error 12 & 22

Our school uses this camera. It's reporting a lens error 12 and the lens does not extend. Bumping it did not work, nor does pulling the lens out with a fingernail.

One teacher said that another school had LUCK by installing a new battery pack. The old one might not hold enough power to fully boot up the camera, causing the lens error.

I have noticed that the battery does not hold a charge for any length of time. This will be our next approach.

Cameras that are dropped, banged or bumped are not covered by a warrantee, so beware.

Kodak Easy Share C330 lens error 14 and lens error 22

Hello,

I bought two of these on clearance and gave one to my in-laws. She suspected that one of her kids may have dropped the camera or pushed in the lens. I don't remember which lens error number had shown up, but I dis-assembled the camera to find out what the deal was. If I remember correctly, there is a way to manually turn the gears to put he lens back out. I left the lens out and turned it on and it worked perfectly. Fair warning though. It is VERY IMPORTANT not to touch the contacts for the flash EVEN WITH THE BATTERIES OUT!!! God did it hurt like hell... unfortunately it is fairly easy to do and I must have accidentally done it about 4-5 times while messing with it..

Kodak C330 [lens error 14]

I have this camera and I have had this exact error...and I'm sure it was caused from being in my purse and turning on and off all the time. All I did to fix it was push the lens a little bit while it was already retracted and it made a slight popping noise like it was going back onto a track and then it worked perfectly ever since then.
