SOURCE: i have a yamaha nx sw150 subwoofer that i want to

Parts from all-in-one packages like this aren't inended to be pieced out to other applications. Proprietary connections are a huge clue and disincentive.

A look at other Fixya queries gives this answer:

http://www.fixya.com/support/t4959365-yamaha_sub_woofer_model_nx_sw150

"I have this sub. The system connector jack needs a 12V DC signal to turn on. If you don't have a suitable Yamaha receiver with this connection, use any 12 V DC adapter with a 1/8 in mono plug (the tip should be positive)."

I imagine the subwoofer could be opened up and whatever circuitry is enabled by the Control signal could simply be jumpered "true" so it is always ON. That would mean the amp would be drawing power at all times, though.

SOURCE: my wharfedale sw150 subwoofer cuts out in normal viewing, any suggestions

If your Wharfedale sub is powered, it gets its input from a subwoofer output on the rear of the Sony. At a certain level, your sub is turned on and sounds just fine until the level decreases during quiet passages of music then it turns off. I believe the theory is that this approach prevents start-up "pops" but in practice it is a poor solution. I have had several subs that have acted this way. I don't know of a way to fix this short of eliminating the level-controlled turn-on circuit

I AM LOOKING FOR A REMOTE YAMAHA SOUNDBAR YSP-1100

The replacement remote is available at Amazon.com and probably other vendors of replacement remote controls. The replacement original remote at Amazon is here: https://www.amazon.com/OEM-Yamaha-Remote-Control-YSP-1100SL/dp/B0166DUFAE . If you need the information to program this remote for other devices, see the manual. The manual is available from Yamaha at the product support page: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/digital-sound-projector/ysp-1100_black__u/ . The direct link to the manual is currentlyhttp://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=8872 .

I hope this helps.

What remote code should I use to control the YSP 2500 from a universal remote control?

Sound bars tend to use unique remotes, probably to prevent undesired interaction with other remotes.

Ysp 1000 no power coming

C515 ON THE MAIN POWER PCB (HAS 223 K 630HI PRINTED ON IT) HAS FAILED
Replace with a 22nf capacitor - Maplin part number N38CN
the new maplin part has a higher voltage rating and is bigger. it will need to be fitted with the leads extended with wire to get it to fit.

I get a loud static noise, when I first turn on the yamaha ysp-1. Lasts a few seconds. Have unplugged all inputs. Problem persists.

u have a cool sound projector but u have a baaaad power supply system. bad power supply design - u will get all sorts of noise when u power it up. i have a sub woofer with the same problem(which in my case is the way it is designed). i used a delay circuit. but in ur case i know YSP-1 has a clean start up. so, if the warranty still covers it get it replaced. static noises, pop noises are often caused by bad capacitors.

Connecting an iPod to Yamaha YSP-1000

The best way to get quality sound would be to go through the USB connection of the phone.

It will be hard and a bit costly to get a cable to link the Ipod and projector.

Easiet and economical way is to go to apple and purchase a cable for the jaudio jack at the top of the Ipod that will also have an audio jack connector for the projector
