Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Y is this
Ok, i have just spent a couple of hours scouring the internet through forums and youtube for advice/solutions to the yellow light of death. if this is what you're experiencing then it probably is due to overheating or component failure. i wrote sony a hate letter asking why i should have to pay repair costs so you could try that. if your console is still in warranty then sony will fix it for free. currently i am trying a hard reset and hard drive removal/clean. leave the console off for 3 hrs then remove the hard drive (won't void your warranty) and leave it out of console for a further 3 hours. hook the console back up without the hard drive installed then put on standby, switch off at mains, reinstall hard drive and hope for the best! I recommend you watch all the ''fix my ps3'' videos on youtube and ''yellow light of death'' videos too for a more detailed look at this sony cover up! cheers.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
