Sounds like there may be a glitch in the microprocesor. Make sure when you unplug it that you leave it along for a few days and is there any type of clock or standby batterys in it take them out as well. If that dosent correct the problem your gonna need a service manual to trace the switch pulse to see if the units Switch matrix lines are low or lost because of a faulty micro or a bad componet like a small caps they install on the matrix to keep noise off them. Hard one to call with out seeing unit and analizing unit Good Luck

If a disc will not spin, A- the laser may not be focusing on the disc, as it must do this before it will spin and read the TOC. ( table of contents) B- you could have a fault in the spindle motor circuit or the motor could be bad. You will need to find an authorized servicer if you do not understand solid state repairs. Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this.

First, make sure it didn't get muted, or the remote's volume got turned way down. Next, it might be time to involve a technician who can check all the power supply voltages. Many of today's electronics have multiple voltage power supplys, 5 volts for logic, 12 volts for motors, and amplifiers usually have the biggest- maybe plus and minus 30 volts for a total of 60. There are hazardous voltages in there too, a switching power supply starts with over 300 volts. So don't lick it and see if your tongue tingles, that's only for 9 volt batteries.

you need to have service manual copy to check amplifier output section as it seems defective. There are few websites that offers service manuals download for small fee.

SOURCE: not getting any power
Probably a blown fuse. If you have a warranty or can return it do that, if not unplug it, open it up and there should be a 250 volt glass type fuse. pull it out and make sure it is blown. If it is replace it at radio shack. If it isnt check for loose wires around the power cable and the transformer.
