E2 Error Messagg

E2 Error Message

Does anyone have any idea what error message E2 is indicating? The camera will not take pictures. We have checked the batteries and reloaded the film.

Please help as mother is in assisted living and wants to us her camera for Christmas.

Thanks.
Marilyn

The camera is a 35 mm. It has NO memory card--just a roll of 35mm film. I do not have a User's Manual. I was hoping that perhaps some does and could tell me what the E2 Error message indicates. The camera is a FujiFilm camera ZoomDate 60.

Perform the following steps:

  3. Remove the camera's batteries, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
  4. Reset the camera. For this refer to your camera's User's Manual.
  5. Reinstall the batteries.

This should work.please rate this solution.Thank you.

Sounds like the film either didn't advance thru the camera or its been rewound.

Here's a copy of the user manual:

Can't load film into vivitar pZ 8000 camera?

Most probably find a Vivitar Vivicam PZ8000 manual here. Just send them a search request. Service is not free, but often worthy.

Camera goes into Shut Down Mode & Flashes the Letter H

Hey sonax,
This H error message means either the film is loaded incorrectly, or there is an internal malfunction in the camera. To determine if the film is loaded incorrectly you should take the film and the batteries out of the camera then reinstall the batteries and try taking a picture without film in the camera. If the camera allows it then the film was loaded incorrectly and I would refer to the camera manual for directions on how to load the film correctly. If the H error message persists then there is most likely an internal malfunction and I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

23 Error Code.

Listing of Pentax codes E3, E7, E37: These codes often signal a problem with your shutter mechanism. E9, E93-E97: These codes may indicate a problem with your zoom lens. H0-H9: These H codes can also identify a problem with your camera's shutter. U1-U9: These U codes may also indicate a problem with your camera's zoom lens.

I wish i could help you, but Pentax's manual is poor and many people (over the net) face Pentax error message with no meaning... Try replacing the batteries if you haven't already, if it doesn't help I would take it to a local camera repair shop. If they can't help you call ProCamera in harlottesvile VA. He collects pentax owns his own shop. He's been in business for 12 yr's and he is also a succesful photoghrapher. I've heard nothing but the best about this guy Bill Moretz. I have a pentax if anything happens to it i know where i'm shipping it of too and pentax is the only camera i will own. His prices are right so the shipping costs are worth it. Good luck

Loaded film, but won't work and a "3" is flashing.

The IQ Zoom cameras are designed to display error codes (E0, E2, E9, E10, E1A, E37, E90, HL, H4, H5, etc.) when something goes wrong internally with one of the mechanisms or electronic components. These diagnostic displays help to determine where the problem is. When you see an error code, ask a qualified PENTAX repair technician to examine the camera. For information on a specific error code, call Pentax customer service department toll-free at 1-800-877-0155, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, Mountain Standard Time.
