Hi! You could try other burning software that is compatible! try looking at the originator of litescribe www.hewlettpackard.com or Windows Homepage for litescribe compatible software for Vista.
Good Luck!

I need of driver software of the device!!!!

You can use any version of the nero or any CD burning softwares as the drivers for this burner. Because samsung itself will provide you with those softwares as the drivers with the drive. You can download the nero burning software from the link provided below.

Can TS-H492B burn Dual Layer DVD's?

Specs from Dell Website

According to the Specs it should be able to burn DL+R, but not DL-R. Nero Express should work if it's a recent version that supports your model. An updated Nero version will have more support for different models of burners, but another great free software that can do almost as much as, if not more, than Nero Express is CD Burner XP, which is freeware and can be downloaded directly from their website CDBurnerXP

Blank DVDs turn my DVD Burner into a CD Drive

Not knowing what OS you're running or what version of Nero you have, I'll make a few assumptions. If you're running Vista with Nero 7, Nero doesn't always "play nice" with Vista. It's a memory hog (all video editing programs are) but it tends to hang up a lot and for some reason, runs worse in Vista than in XP. (just my observation)

I've had to re-install Nero twice due to similar problems. (lack of drive recognition, burns ab-ending etc) . You've probably already uninstalled/reinstalled the burner so I would uninstall Nero and reinstall it. Best of luck and please post back with any questions.

My burner does not recognize a new cd-r disc

Ok people. First it would be an idea to use a CD/DVD lens cleaner, and try again. If you are running any 3rd party software/drivers like deamon tools, uninstall them and try again.

I have used Nero 6, 7 and I now use 8. I run XP SP3 on my desktop, and Vista SP1 on my laptop, and I have never found this problem with Nero.

You may need to uninstall the drive and re-install it. Also update the firmware for the drive.

Also, could you tell me what LG CD/RW you are using, please

After installing vista service pack 1 my dvd rom is gone.

I would try stopping the device and restarting it first.

If that doesn't work, find the latest drivers for it, and have them in a folder you can find easily. In device manager, you can right click, go into properties for the DVD-ROM. Click the update drivers button, and point it to that directory.

If neither of those work ,try completely uninstalling it from device manager, then going through the add new hardware option in control panel.
