left to right, I assume is "clockwise", right?

Do I need to push in knob before turning. When I turn clockwise it just goes around and does not engage. When I turn it counterr-clokwise it engagesd but will not turn- too tight?

Can't undo the impeller nut

As much as i dislike entering anything into the cylinder it looks as though you may have to, tie a small knot in a piece of starter cord, remove the spark plug, push the knotted cord through the open plug hole, gently bring the piston up to top dead centre where it should lock due to the knotted cord, now turn the nut.

I need to replace the borken rubber primer bulb on my Homelite leaf blower

If it is mounted on top of the carburetor, it is an easy fix. Just undo the two screws holding the retaining ring on the carb and lift it off. Then, just pull out the bulb. They probably sell these at your local Home Depot or lawnmower shop and there are many of them for sale on Ebay. They are a real common part to replace. There is also a bulb on some models that is snapped into a cover next to the carburetor. The one to fit your model is a little more difficult to find than the one that sits atop the carb.
You may want to purchase the "kit" for these they have at Home Depot. It has a new bulb, new fuel filter, new fuel lines and an installation/removal tool. It is under 10 dollars. If you require more help, please post!

If you trying to pull the starter to start it doesn't pull out

Hi, sometimes the recoil rope gets a little tangled inside the housing if the cord is allowed to snap back after pulling. You need to undo the screws that hold the recoil on the motor and inspect the rope inside. If you cannot pull the rope freely while it is detached, then the problem lies with the recoil. In this case try to find the tangled cord and undo it. Test that the coil works before reinstalling it. It should work fine. If you pull the recoil while it's detached and it moves freely, then the problem lies with the engine itself. This would indicate a seizure and requires a complete tear-down and rebuild. Good luck.

LINE REPLACEMENT (Fig. 8) (For Reel EasyTM Head) Use 2.4mm monofilament string. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Cut one piece of string approximately 7.6m in length. n Rotate knob on string head until line on knob aligns with arrows on top of string head. n Insert one end of string into eyelet located on the side of the string head and push until string comes out through eyelet on the other side. Continue to push string through the string head until the middle section of the string is inside the string head and string outside the string head is evenly divided on each side. n Rotate the knob counterclockwise on the string head to wind the string. Wind the string until approximately 20cm remains protruding from the string head. INSTALLING STRING IN PRO CUT II STRING HEAD Use monofilament string between 2.4 mm and 2.7 mm diameter. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Gather two of the pre-cut lengths of trimmer line provided or cut two pieces of trimmer line, in 28 cm lengths. n Insert the strings into the slots located on the sides of the string head. String should be pushed in until approximately 2 cm protrudes from the holes on the top of the string head. n Remove old string by pulling it from the holes located on the top of the string head.

How do you put it together for mulcher

Undo the spring loaded cover on the very bottom of the machine, insert the vacuum tube for mulching in there and then attatch the catch bag for the mulched material to the outlet where the tube for the blower was...simple as that.

I have the Echo PB 265L leaf blower. When it runs it leaks fuel down my back. Seems to be coming out of a tub that is connected to the fuel button pump (which you push to prime when starting) I checked on...

I had the exact same problem with gas soaking my back and found out the yellow fuel discharge tube that comes out of the carberator was not inserted into the rubber gasket on top the fuel tank. The gasket has 3 holes in it for 3 tubes and the yellow tube fits into one of the holes. Hope this helps. It is a bit difficult to get the tube in the hole, but at least if you know what you are looking for you can get it to work

How to change the pull string on a toro 22 inch recycler

To take the housing off, you may need to remove the carb choke houseing "becasue of a hard to reach bolt. A small oil filler tube screw and then a couple screws on the top. I dont know if you broke the rope or of the assemble inside is broke, but they make a kit for new springs and wings that is fairly simple to replace if thats the latter of the two.

I would discourage the average handy person from undoing the screw on the plastic reel inside under the cover and pulling up, as it is the metal band that creates the recoil tension and those are challenging still 15 years later. ;)
