A couple things... the camera has to be on.... and somewhere there is a setting for the program to know where the camera is hooked up.... if there is an auto detection.... which xp and vista will do on their own if you use usb.... then use that.... if the camera does hook up to the computer by usb.... leave the program off for a sec and just see if the operating system will detect the camera.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to download the internal memory of my Panasonic Lumix DMC T27 to the memory card

Go to previous view pics in internal memory, select the pic and then "move"at SD Card (work in some models).

Other possibilitie, take off the SD card and connected the camera at pc, open explorer software and copy/paste the pics from camera at one folder in the pc. Verify that the pics are saved and secure, so, delete the files in the internal memory. Turn off and unplugged the camera.

Then, take on SD card inside camera and reverse procedure, copy/paste from pc to SD card (like a external device).

Hope helps.

I didn't receive the instructions in pkg just cardboard saying what was in pkg. I just need to know how to download the card from digital camera to computer. I know how to hook it up I'm just not sure what...

Apart from making the connections, to download the pics directly from your camera you probably need first to install Nikon camera software on your PC and switch the camera on. If you don't have the installation CD you could download the programs from Nikon's website. Otherwise you could just put the memory card into a card reader and connect that to your PC, or you may have a reader built into your PC. Then, if it does not open automatically, you can open the card from its icon in My Computer to copy or drag and drop the images onto your PC.

Cannot download photos from Nikon Coolpix4600 and have misplaced the program that came with the camera.

Try connecting the camera to the PC and open the camera files using My Computer. You should be able to view the files and copy or move them from the camera to the desired folder on your computer.
If the camera can use an SD card, you could always copy the pics to the card and then connect the card to your computer and download them from there.
Most digital still software is just fancy image editing software anyway.

Uploading pics to mac from SD card in camera

Have you tried using an external card reader?

They look similar to this at Wal-Mart:

I own a mac and always use an external usb card reader to download my pics and it works great. Also, I know that you need to get your pics off first, but you may need to reformat you card at some point so that it will read faster and work quicker in your camera.

For your software issue, have you tried download the software from kodak's website? The program shouldn't cause your apple to crash. I would try re-installing it from there website.

Canon SD100 Powershot Can't download pics

You may have accidently removed the photo programs you were using. Check to see if the software programs are indeed still on your computer by searching by name. If it or they are there , open one of the programs before you connect the camera and it should automatically download.

If they have been removed use the disc that came with your camera to reload the software program.

I can't open because it is not a supported file

First off what type of computer are you using? MAC or PC? Second if you are using PC and installed the photoloader software that came with the camera you should be able to connect your camera and then it would open automatically to download your pics. Try changing your camera to PTP and then you can save your pics into My Photos in your My Documents folder. To change to PTP press menu while in the REC mode. Go to setup tab and go up to USB press right arrow & highlight PTP and press set. Then connect your camera and it should open up "Microsoft Camera & Scanner Wizard". From there follow the prompts to load into My Pics.
