Can you explain what 10 second video clips at 30 frames per second mean?

It means that the video will last 10 seconds. 30 frames/sec is the quality of the video. It is the number of individual pictures take per second. Example: 10 frames/sec produces a jerky video but is sometimes used for security monitoring. On some cameras you can reduce the frames/sec to get a longer running time.

Canon ixus 75

Unfortunately, no. By recording in fast mode, the camera captured fewer frames than usual. When played back at the normal speed, the action appears faster than normal. Because the camera recorded fewer frames, there is no way to make up for the images that were not captured. You could slow down the playback, but the result would be a jerky, jumpy video.
Now, if you had accidentally captured the video in slow motion, you could then throw away some of the intervening frames and recreate a normal-speed video.

As I turn my camera right to left or the reverse slowly, it seems to be jerky and makes a noise which the movie camera picks up. How can I take off the head to lubricate it.

Go anywhere on that camera with lubricant and you will basically destroy your camera. Over time even the oils from your hands will affect the operation of the camera. There are no user lubricating points on any camera film or digital and only a qualified camera repair person with the correct lubricate should ever apply lube.

What you are seeing and hearing is the camera constantly focusing and shifting the zoom to the focus spot. The image will appears as if you are looking through some warped piece of glass crinkled until focus can be established.

You didn't say what camera it was (is) so I'm going to assume it's a still camera with video capabilities. If this is the case you are not looking at the "real" image you are looking at a digital rendition which constantly changes focus. The auto focus is electrical over mechanical so you will hear a slight clicking sound each time it focuses.

I know this isn't going to help you with your question but maybe it will prevent you from killing your camera with some type of spray lub

Jerky video when transfered to computer

usually this indicates a slow computer or the other problem could be that some cameras require a firewire to play back and you are using a u.b. port

No image in lcd screen

This sounds internal and could be a bad ccd (sensor). If you call Nikon at their toll free number and ask them, it may be possible that they will fix this for free. They will let you know if it is too much to fix, in which case it will be returned to you. With Nikon you will need to pay for shipping to Nikon's repair facility.
For possible repair see this link and call the toll free number at the service center...
Take care

Setting up Pentax Optio 50 to be webcam

When I was using a video camera as a web cam using Netmeeting, I found out a few things which may help. Once the connection is made, the settings from the other end play a part in the reproduction at your end. I.E. the image you are seeing at your end once connected to someone is actually their image, not yours. So what is really wrong is that their image is not appearing on your screan. Also, the size that they have selected controls the size of your displayed image etc. Have you tried connecting to other people or only one. The problem may be at the other end.
