For Wifi driver problem, you may need all of wifi driver needed except Intel PRO Wireless drivers and update your Intel Wireless driver here (for Vista) or here for Microsoft Windows XP.also hotkeys (usually fn plus another key such as f10 turn it on and off too. let me know...well get it.

I dont know to use wifi in LENOVO 3000 Y410

Hi. First things is you should have a wireless router there or you are at a certain hotspot where there is a free wireless internet access e.g Starbucks. Procedure below:

  • 1 Purchase a wireless router that fits your needs and price range.
  • 2 Follow the router's manual to set up the router and its Internet connection, which will probably require connecting a wired client to the router. Once the wireless router is set up, the wired connection is no longer necessary. However, it's best to leave the wired client connected if it's a separate computer from that on which you're going to set up WiFi. If something goes wrong, you can access the administration interface again.
  • 3 Gather information from the setup process. In order to set up the wireless client, you will need to know the service set identifier (SSID), the Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key and the channel and mode.
  • 4 Boot up the laptop and plug in the WiFi card. This will not be necessary if your laptop has an integrated WiFi card.
  • 5 Install any drivers needed to use the WiFi card. Insert the disc that came with the WiFi card and follow the on-screen installation process. Most discs will trigger a new hardware wizard that makes installation extremely simple.
  • 6 Double-click on the "WiFi Connection" icon. It can be found in the system tray at the bottom of the laptop screen.
  • 7 Click on "Properties."
  • 8 Select the "Wireless Networks" tab.
  • 9 Use the "Add" button at the bottom of the dialog if your WiFi network isn't in the "Available Networks" section.
  • 10 Click on "Configure" when you see your network's SSID in the "Available Networks."
  • 11 Enter your network's SSID and WEP key.
  • 12 Click on "Start," then choose "Connect To" and "Wireless Network Connection." Your computer should now be able to access the WiFi network. If the WiFi network is connected to the Internet, it should also be able to connect to the Internet.

    Bluetooth/wifi doesnt works

Same problem occured at HP laptops. Unfortunate, problem comes from the board. Somewhere has got crack or broken link. Last time I have checked, I find , Top of the board and bottom of the board has got copper lines and devices soldered, but there is also middle lines that not possible to access and repair without shematic diagram. I end up changing the board that solve the problem. But Before that I install driver, restore again (seems worked forawhile) remove the wireless card check solders, setup network again. None worked. I do not want to give you bad feelings but, if it is Vista, reload the drivers and see if will work.
Hopefully it will. Do not touch the switch much, there are P.O.S. Small spring inside the switch is loose everytime and it is not gold plated, get rusty couple of months. Goodluck

    Lenovo 3000 Y410 Wifi Problem

That is odd, I've never seen anything like that. I asked a few of the other top experts, and they've never heard of anything like that happening either. There are no adjustments for this type of thing. It could be too strong. How far away from your house can you get with the machine still seeing the wireless? I hate to say it, but you may just have to live with it, and, honestly, I think it's more their problem than yours. I'll look around some more on this, since you've got me curious, and if I find anything I'lllet you know.
