Reset button won't work on 2wire 2701HG-s

I need to reset the router so I can make changes. I am unable to get the modem to reset so I can clear out my password.

    Apparently you have to reset it while it's on. Also, I didn't hold down the reset button long enough.



    My bad.

WELL FIRST OFF YOU CAN'T DO IT YOURSELF YOU HAVE TO HAVE A REPAIR GUY WITH A PASSWORD TO GET IN AND CHANGE IT.

Trying to hook up 2wire modem to internet provider?
there is a cd-less install or Greenlight technology in it. it will automatically startup once you open a browser, (preferably IE. However, if you don't see it, try pushing the reset button at the back of the unit for 30 sec. open IE, then you will see the installation page.

NOTE: make sure you know what your username and password is... for authentication purpose...

Would like to restore my 2701hg b gateway to factory settings
  1. Unplug Your Router
  2. Turn The Router Around
  3. Look For A Hole About The Size of A Pencil Point
  4. Looking Closely, You Will See <Reset>
  5. Using An Unfloded Paper Clip, Insert The Paper Clip End Into The Reset Switch Opening
  6. Press and Hold For 30 Seconds and You Are Back To Factory Settings.
