Gateway gtw l17m103 light out

Hi, I have the gateway gtw l17m103 and it looks like there is a light out for the screen. when it started it would be dark on half of the screen but it would light up after being on for a while, but now if you look at it with the house lights off, it looks as if just half of the screen lights up. any ideas? Can it be fixed? Where can I find how to fix it and parts?
Thank you!!!

For the solutution repair of the Gateway Model GTW-L17M103 TV 1/2 lit screen - I was told by a local authorized Sanyo Flat Screen Repair shop that the lamp or bulb is going out and needs to be replaced. He said the replacement would run around $125. I have the same problem as well and now am seeking to purchase a lamp/bulb.

I have a Gateway gtw-p42m303 powers up to the warm up screen then light switches from green to standby orange. smells hot could be a power supply or capacitor?

Most likely a Y sustain module failure. Gateway does not make a set, so I would need a part number off of the board in order to give you an exact price of the part. Usually they're around $300.00
