Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
My 80 gig PS3 won't play DVDs or Blu-ray. All I get is a black screen, no sound. It detects there's a disc, and even what movie on the Blu-rays, but when it starts the screen goes black. I've disabled upscaling and such, as it's not hooked up to an HDTV, but still nothing helps. This is quite disappointing, as this is the second PS3 problem I've had- my first had a hard drive problem that forced me to exchange with Sony, losing all my game saves and videos.
You may need to format the entire system and then update if you really need to watch the DVD that badly
you can move gamesaves to a memorystick before hand so you dont lost anything apart from demos and pics

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
