I would try 0000 first if that dont work then try this
I think you can reset it by going to settings > restore default settings. this will reset all your settings like date, time, nickname, etc.. and it should also reset your password too.

On the Wii I had I remember when I set up internet I had to change my security method back to WEP on the router because the Wii couldn't use any other security method. That was several years ago though so not positive if they updated the console since then to allow other security modes.
the SSID is the name of your router and most of the time the wep key you need is marked under the router, the first thing is to search for the SSID( your routers name) on your nintendo wii, when you have found the right SSID witch by the way should be the strongest signal around as it should be the nearest signal, then you need to put in the wep key ( the same wep key you have on your pc,) that is if you have secured wireless signal, if you have an open signal you should be able to search for the SSID, and when you found the right SSID you just need to connect. Hope it helps!!
wep key is an internet security password set in place by an owner of the signal to keep it from being stolen or used by others the psp needs to have the proper wep key from the owner of the signal if you own the signal your internet provider can help u with this issue over the phone ok
Your best bet would be to switch your security settings from WAP to WEP. What router are you using? You should be able to go in through the site that you set up your settings, and there should be a tab labled, "security". Clicking on this tab will allow you to switch from wap to wep. There are quite a few wireless devices that do not run on WAP security settings, but thankfully there is always the WEP settings.
The WEP code/Key is a code the ROUTER uses for security. It is in the security settings of the router. You need this to Logon, to the Network. If you can;t find it. Setup WEP again and this time write it down copy/paste to a notepad document, and print it out.
make sure that first you have your own internet! If you do then make sure you set the your new connection to WEP setting! this allows you to put in the neccesary code to access your wireless internet! then make sure you know your code and enter it in after you set the securtiy! if you have your wireless internet set with security then you either have to know the code to access it or set it off so it doesnt block anyone from access! allowing you to use None in the WLAN security setting!
So my main point you are trying to access someone else's internet??? so if its a store then ask them for the code and set WLAN securtiy setting to WEP and put the password after its selected!!! Friends internet ask for WEP code and then samething!, or someelses internet who has a security block so people dont steal internet! gotcha
What router are you using? If it is a lynksys then go to your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and enter in your login info, the default login is user: admin and either no password or the password is admin also. click the wireless tab and then click wireless security and it will display your wep code.
