you need to get details from your mobile company to input manually. Phone mobile company for details requesting them to be sent to your email address and print off for reference. Press Internet services on phone then select input address and manually input mobile wap address as supplied by mobile network supplier.

you will need to get these settings sent to your phone from your phone network service provider, thats the only way to fix, call your phone network and ask them you need your wap settings sent to your phone ok, they will ask you some details and away you go.

1. Go to Nokia site via this link http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410019
2. Find Step 1: Get standard settings and click the Get Standard Settings link.
3. Accept the terms
4. Select telephone model 2610
5. Click Next
6. Select WAP/GPRS
7. Choose your Country
8. Click Next
9. If your country has more than one carrier, Choose your carrier (other wise go to step 11)
10. Click Next
11. Enter the Security code shown
12. Enter the telephone number of your new phone so that you can receive the pin code.
13. Click Order Settings
14. Save the PIN Code at the top of the page
15. When SMS arrives Click install
16. Enter the PIN when requested

6.Edit the account name to whatever you would like
7.Edit APN to wap.cingular (lowercase)
8.Edit Username to [email protected] (UPPERCASE)
9.Edit Password to CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
10.Edit Auth Type. to Secure
11. Save
Select Back --> Select Back
***Second Step***
Select WAP
1.Select Settings --> Edit Profile
3.Select the first entry --> Edit Profile
5.edit the name to whatever you would like
6.Edit Homepage to http://device.home
7.Edit Data Account to the Name you established in the First Step
8.Edit Connection type to HTTP
9.The IP address is 066.209.011.032 and the port number is 8080
10.Edit Username to [email protected]
11.Edit Password to CINGULAR1
Select back or done
Select Activate Account

Go back to service and click WAP then homepage. You should see a G at the top of your phone showing that its connecting.

Now for your MMS

Select Messages --> MMS --> Message Settings
Select Server Profile
Select the first entry
Select Edit Profile
Edit Rename Profile to whatever name you would like
Edit Home Page to http://mmsc.cingular.com
Edit Data Account to the same data account you created for WAP
Edit Connection Type to HTTP the IP address is 066.209.011.032 and the port is 8080
Edit the Username to [email protected] (UPPERCASE)
Edit the Password to CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
Select Done or Save
Make sure to activate the profile and you are good.

My suggestion would be to call your carrier and be connected to technical support. If you're having issues inputting the corrected settings they should be able to help, to a point, in getting the settings input into the phone correctly. If the cell phone was purchased unlocked from another country or carrier than the one you're wanting to use it on that also may be the problem. Essentially all cellular carriers will tell you that they will attempt to make an unlocked phone work on their network. Under most cases the voice services will usually work, the text will also usually work but not always the data/wap service and mms. If you get the settings input correctly and verified with the carrier that you do have data services and they are provisioned in their systems correctly and it still doesn't work then unfortunately you may not be able to utilize the data services at all. Phones are manufactured specifically for the carrier they are being sold on. Every carrier's WAP information in the cell phones, even if the same make and model phone are sold by various carriers, can be slightly different. Even a standard phone, such as the Motorola Razr will have different menu options and settings depending on what carrier it was made for. I hope this helps, good luck!

10.Edit Username (fido)

Select back or done
Select Activate Account
You should now see a [G] in the upper left of your screen. Make sure it has the G1. If it says G2 it is on sim 2. To change go to WAP setting select sim
To go to the internet go to SERVICE --> WAP --> HOMEPAGE
